I'm sorry but some of those are laughable.

Empire- Sorry this is the first time I have ever heard of these characters in my life, and if they are in either the Thrawn Trilogy or SoTE, which is the only EU I've read, then thier names are just too wierd to remember.

Mon Cals- I will use a spoiler here, becuase u won't want to read it:

Even I have agreed a few weeks ago that Mon Cals were to be part of the Rebels

Corellia- 1 planet (although this doesn't count). But what does count is Corellia is a largely EU planet and only meantioned in the movies.

Therefore it does exist but it would be like making a grand historical game like Civ3, RoN, or EE and making a Inuit civ. They have to little influence on canon Star wars.

Rebels- Better to be set within movies timeframe and maybe a little after.

Cloud City- This may actually be a good choice. After all, Naboo were in. But the more significant factions should be covered first.

Rogue Squadron- I admit it. I burst out laughing when reading this.

Rogue Squadron is 1 combat squadron. Making a civ out of one TINY group using only ONE type of vehicle is the equivalent of trying to surf the Internet with a hotdog.

Jedi Academy- Only 5 types of unit i can think of for a Jedi civ in general. Jedi Masters, Padawans, Knights, Starfighters and maybe a Jedi on a speeder bike.

yes some of those idea are. . . what Crazy said. And to clarify:

It is Joruus C'boath, his "funny alien" is Rukh(sp), a deadly Noghri warrior, and Ysalamari are found ion Mrykr(sp), and it's called Mount Tantiss(sp).

Wait are you talking about Civs and their compaigns or Jus talking about Campaigns? Cuz those dont look like a "must have civ list" such as the title of the thread says.

And becareful. . . this could turn into a Movies vs EU (in which i would have to support EU....)

Aha! I found it!

But we have enough EU vs Movie threads and to be honest I don't want to repeat myself here.

What I will say is WTF? Rogue Squadron has a campaign? If they are their own civ then how come they're listed as a hero in the Corellians?

* Vostok remembers the note about personal insults and restrains himself *

Why are there no prequel civs, which will be the most relevant since SWGB2 will coinside with the release of Episode 3?

Why are Noghri funny?

Why are ysalamari on Tatooine?

Why would Calamarians be separate when you say yourself they join the rebels?

Why is there a "Rebel Empire seige" in a Corellian campaign?

Why is Lando's R5 a hero?

Why why why?

It isn't laughable. Rogue Squadron is a great idea for a campaign, using Rebel Alliance tech's with special technologies. It was really a campaign idea. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

In Rogue Squadron (the Game), when Crix Nadine defects on Corellia, a large attack is started by the Empire. Rogue Squadron had been protecting this conference. Han Solo also popped in.

Why are Noghri funny?

Why do you take everything literally?

Why are ysalamari on Tatooine?

Why don't you add in some ideas yourself? Talon Karre gave aid to Thrawn on Tatooine, and I never said anything about the

mission's content.

Why would Calamarians be separate when you say yourself they join the rebels?

In the movies, the Calamarians still keep their own weapons technology and unique architecture. Replacing it, would be a mistake. Also, they did not join the alliance right away. I never said they joined at a specific time in the campaign, nor did I say that they were anything more than allies.

Why is there a "Rebel Empire seige" in a Corellian campaign?

I've replied to that. Scroll up.

Why is Lando's R5 a hero?

In JKII we had an R5 that was crucial to the mission who had some doings with Lando. It would be good to incorporate a new mechanical character.

Why why why?

I think you've just screwed yourself up.

Anyway, i'll change the thread title to 'Must-Have campaigns'. Oh and I asked for some ideas as well. And I got "Why why why?" Why?

If you're adding Corellia, then you might as well through in every single other planet that has been mentioned in either the movies or EU

That would be fun but impossible to do. And those campaigns that rad-x mentionned are all EU which doesn't please many. Movies_______>EU. Unless it's good EU story>bad movie based story.

It would be nice to have trade federation units in the confederacy since they are apart of the confederacy. Or at least an option in which i can combine certain civilizations (e.g):

Naboo and Gungans

Confederacy and Trade Federation

Naboo and Republic

Gungans and Republic

Wookies and Rebels

etc.

Ah, but if u watched AotC carefully, u would notice that the Trade Federation did not join the Confederacy, they only fought amongst the Confederacy. Like British fighting with Americans in WW2.

Although in the end they did join the Confidederacy (not shown in movie but is obvios), merging them would take away from uniqueness and thus gameplay.

My Civ List (in order of movie appearance):

Trade Federation

Naboo

Gungans

Republic

Hutt Cartel*

Separatists (Confederacy, but using the movie terms)

Rebels/NR/Mon Cals/ Sullustans

Empire/IR

Wookiees

Cloud City*

*only present if other civs are given priority

8 civs, with a possible 2 more. About the max. Sithmaster will allow

While I agree that the TF joined the Confeds... the C.I.S. name sort of gives that away... for the sake of the game you have to have them seperate. There aren't exactly a ton of civs in the movies. You have to make the best of what you have.

The EU will never make it to the game as a civ because not enough people follow the EU. period.

I think Gungans are important due to Episode I. Wookies I could agree with it being less important. My other idea was to incorporate Wookies, Ewoks, Mon Calamari into the Rebel Alliance. To incorporate Geonosians in Confederacy and Kaminioans into Republic. That way you have

Rebel Alliance

Galactic Empire

Galactic Republic

Confederacy

Gungans

Royal Naboo

Then add:

Vong

Imperial Remanent

New Republic

Some other possiblities or hidden civilizations:

Hutt Cartel

Black Sun Empire
