I'm about to make a purchase from amazon.com, I want to test out my visa check card. Going to buy something available from them, and I want to pay no more than $20, including shipping...

 

the questions I have are:

 

#1 Will I be charged any fees with the card I'm using?

 

#2 Should Half-Life be my first purchase?

 

well i went ahead and jumped off a cliff, and ordered half-life. my parents don't know about it yet.

 

I can't wait to get fragged repeatedly by everyone here who has the game.

Half-Life??? Get something you can't download or borrow man, something worth it.

 

I was gonna order some more DVDs from Akira Kurosawa (best directer of all time) but before I do I'll check if I can't find cheaper in Chinatown.

i've wanted half-life for a long time, just haven't found it for $20 brand new including the box, especially brand new and goty edition. and nobody i know irl has HL. and i didn't want to get anything over $20 cause i've got cable bill to pay and i've got the gladiator soundtrack coming hopefully by friday. (ordered that online, except they send it then i send a check)

 

The next things i want to get are some star wars books like the rest of the xwing series (i've only read up to wraith squadron cause the bloody bookstore didn't carry the next one and i didn't want to skip ahead...) and i want to get the last bounty hunter war book as well as the matrix, shrek, final fantasy all on dvd as well as turok 2 for pc [has good lan mp].

 

of course, i won't get all these at once unless i make a fortune from income tax........

See, with a credit card, if it's stolen ooh they run up to your limit and some other nasty stuff. If they grab your check card, you're ****ed in ways you can't possibly begin to imagine.

I have made a few purchases from Amazon,.. but I try to save it for rare items that I can't find around here. If it's something you can walk into your local Wal-Marts and pick up and walk out with, why go online and expose yourself to possible potental problems?

Last Amazon purchase: Douglas Adam's Starship Titanic game. I got it mainly as a collector's item after his death, although I did play it for a while. It's been out of print for a couple of years.

my computer is sucky. compaq presario 320 ram, 600 mhz celeron, intel 810e chipset...u get the picture, it wouldn't be able to run, much less load the menu screen.

Well, you could get a new PC thats like 10000 times better than that for under $1000.

 

If your willing(with good deals), you could get a system comparible to mine for under $1500.
