covenant_bad
I know this may sound trivial but i think i will be sorely dissapointed if i throw a lightsabre at a character and they aren't cut in two. I just wanted to know whether Bioware are aiming for a mature audience, and thus providing slicing n dicing, or are they going for the 'baseball bat' style sabre? GothicSith
Lucasarts - aka George Lucas - has a penchant for not having things too gory. So I'm sure that where you may see a severed limb here or there (like in JK II) I really doubt we'll see blood and guts all over place.
Com Raven
Bio went with slicing, but LEC usually doesn't...
Taos
I believe the game is rated "T." So sadly, no major blood and gore.
Katarn07
Lightsabers usually cauterize. And like JO, there may be a cheat for full dismemberment... Or a patch by BioWare.
Jedi Apprentice
I have a feeling there could be dismemberment like there was in JO, but there I can't imagine there being any blood with Lucasarts history of clean games.
Darth Damage
look at pic 50 of 84 at the main site you see blood but no guts. and personally i really dont care for blood and gore i just want the damn thing!

covenant_bad
Lol, yes all your points are well made but who can't say that they don't get goosebumps when you finish slicing up and dismembering a room full of stormies? lol
ultimaster
maybe it'll be like Unreal where u can turn off the gore and have like a parental control or something. I too would like realistic cuts, but we might not get it.

Bastard Sword +2 taking out three Shadow Theives in the docks district!!! Now that, is entertainment!
Lord Glorfindel
I think blood and gore is an aspect to a game that I dislike if it is ridicously unnatural. But I would rather have bloody spew when u shoot the enemy instead of the enemy to completely dismember
Katarn07
Lasers and sabers (for the most part) cauterize. The only blood seen in SW from a saber is in ANH, when Ben chops off Ponda Baba's arm...

dark jedi 8
What about when vader loses his hand in ROTJ? there is what seems to be blood dripping from the wound. and in AOTC when obi wan gets cut by dooku, you can see blood on his hands when he goes to throw his lightsaber to anakin. I think you're just seeing red wires because remember Darth's hand was completely mechanical.
Katarn07
Yeah, just wires. And blood on Obi's hands? I don't remember that. And wampa arm had no blood. Just a black, cauterized dealy. They're vibro blades in the game?! Well, then it calls for blood for realism, but I don't demand it.
Aerothorn
It doesn't matter if it has only blood and no gore, they stll give it a "Blood and gore" rating, cause the ESRB is run by idiots. Halo had a Blood and Gore rating even though it has no gore(And it had a lot of cussing but they didn't mention that, which is odd). Then theres the infamous cause of DOA:XBV having no nudity and it getting nudity...they did that with Longest Journey and not only did it not have nudity there wasn't even gratutious flesh showing, I don't get the ESRB. Guest Jed
I've never associated blood and gore with Star Wars. I mean, you rarely see it in the movies, so why should you see it in the games? But don't get me wrong, I'm all for dismemberment.
covenant_bad
Well, if you took into account alien blood, HALO would be up there. Just remember the stains on the floor as some badass elite eats plasma. Priceless.
ultimaster
Unreal games are usually really gory, but its so obviously fake, its not the chunks of crap would be flying arounf like that... Anyway, I changed my mind and I agree, blood and gore is completely unnecessary, but dismemeberment is a thing associated with lightsabres, so I want to see some dismemberment for sure. Taos
Agreed, some dismemberment, I think, is almost a necessary.
Jedi Apprentice
Definitely needs dismemberment. Just don't make people throw up with the amount of goriness.
