swphreak
I'm not talking about the forum pop-ups, I'm talking about these pop-ups: http://www.geocities.com/giggly2342002/# Those are really annoying, I've already gotten a couple of them. i think if I was on 56k it wouldn't be a big problem, but I have DSL, and DSL IPs are always the same. Besides, isn't that kind of advertisement illegal or something? Does anybody have any pop-up blockers that can stop those kind? Oh yea, is it free? Darth Groovy
Go to download.com and get a program called "Pop-Up Stopper" by Panicwear. It's a free download and it does it's job, though a few of those annoying popups that dig into your taskbar are not always recognized. keep in mind that once you install and turn it on, you will often have to hit the ctrl key to open more than one window. Zygomaticus
I just use the opera browser and I can put the popup settings to "open only requested popups" and so I don't get any unsolicited popups, and at the same time, I don't block off many websites' ways of showing screenshots or just popup pages. swphreak
Hallelua, Hallelua, Hallelua The forums feel so.... clean. 1 quick question: Does it block AOL pop=ups or do I have to buy the full version? Because I have AOL as my ISP

Nitro
There's a way to block those... I don't remember the exact procedure, but you have to stop and disable the messenger service (not MSN, but the Windows Messenger service built into windows). I did it almost 6 months ago, and I haven't had one since. And I don't use any pop-up blockers. Which means I still get the regular ones, but they make me laugh (expecially those x10 camera ones), so it's all good.
swphreak
hmm. I can't figure out how. I never use it anyways so it won't bother me if I disable it. If you remember how, that'd be nice
