Jedi Apprentice
I just made an avatar in Shockwave flash and tried it on here but it has to be gif or jpeg. Why can't you use shockwave images? They are really easy to make and keep under the 20k limit. Seems like a reasonable thing to do. Having that option would be nice.
matt--
They can also capture and export cookies to remote sites. (that's bad)

Jedi Apprentice
Not trying to be a bugger, but could you explain how the Shockwave Flash can cause problems like you said. I will accept a no. Thanks though!
Metallus
Well, if I might throw in my own opinion, enabling shockwave/flash for avatars would be pretty damn evil. Since it's an install-on-demand plugin for browsers, people who don't want to have it on their computers (and there are some) will be endlessly frustrated with download prompts. Since it's client-side software, slower computers would suffer as a result. Also, I will start killing people if avatars have audio capabilities. I think what matt is saying is that although no viruses or directly malicious things can be programmed in the language that flash and shockwave use, they are able to send out cookies and collect information from users which would violate LFN's privacy policy. Wraith 8
well those are real valid reasons...a pity that the size isnt that big for a cool animated avatar.. but hey... ce la vie (sp?)
ZBomber
Meh. Just try using the printscreen option, and put it into a GIF. Otherwise, well... your screwed. Sorry.
