Crazy_dog no.3
Becuase a total conversion of Battlefield 1942 for Star Wars is already up and running (Get the alpha version on the 14th here ), I was thinking that maybe someone should do a Lord Of The Rings conversion too. Classes: Archers, assualt (swordsman for men and elves, axeman for Dwarves, etc.), Pikeman (good vs. horses and other war beasts), healer and something else (preferebly to heal war animals). Discuss. Artoo
Hmmmmm, sound spretty interesting, but I'm not sure how swordplay would calculate into their engine though. Concept is pretty solid for a good mod though.
Young David
I think JKii is better suited for modding into LotR because the melee element is already there.
darthfergie
YD is right on that one. Plus there would NEVER be 64 players able to play it. It would lag so badly with everybody in close combat with full details. You'd have to scale back texturing big time to even get a frame rate out of single digits. Lord Fergie
There is only so much you can do with BF1942. But the jeeps could be horses but how would you do the bombs?
darthfergie
Dragons for planes? What about navies? Too much extra space to fill.
Paragon_Leon
It's an interesting thought, but right now you can have 64 players online on the same map at maximum. Try recreating Helm's Deep like that...
