Final Fantasy 7

INHO, Final Fantasy 1 was the sweetest game ever made*next to pong:D*. But heres my rambling opinion

FF7 - Great game, better villan*GO SEPHIROTH!!*. The fighting screens were the coolest*specially the magic and Bahamut ZERO*. Awesome FMVs for the time.

FF8 - Same storyline as 7, but in a bit more advanced world. Graphics were better *obviously*, but the summons were way sweeter *again with the Bahamut!* FMV's also sweet*disappointing when Squall yells 'Rinoa!' and no voice*

FF9 - Went back to the original models, yea? Vivi the blackmage and Dagger the whitemage*when she had that cloak*. Nice movies*Alexander screwed Bahamut before being screwed*, but again with the same storyline.

FF10 - ...:disaprove

FFTactics - Hey, the storys a bit different. Cool game*I started playing it again recently*, and the job thing is cool.

2 things impressed me about that game

1. Blitzball

2. They made the entire game without saying the main characters name once.

There are about 7452 things I hated about that game...none of which I will name.

With the final boss, you cant even die, which is ok...but not challenging. :(

another thing i dident like was that how uncreative he looked. usually with big RPGs they have these huge origional final bosses that make you wet your pants cause they look so good. example: deus in xenogears, if you hit him it only heals him (talk about a challenge) and the best bosses transform into a bigger badder boss after a certian number of hit points go down. what happened in FF10? he brought out a big sword ooooo how origional.

sorry for my ranting

Notice: Every FF game has someone named Cid

Cid Highwind in 7

Cid the fat guy in 8

I dun remeber in 9

Cid the Rikku's dad in 10

TG Cid in Tactics...

In 9, cid was the one that was turned into that little bug thingy, I believe his name was "Regent Cid" or something like that.

OK here's my opinion on the ff games...

ff4: basic. fun. average story. nothing special really.

ff5: better then 4, same graphs, but better story, and the job-system is great.

ff6: great. really cool story. good characters. better graphs than 4&5. the big enemy is pretty lame tough...

ff7: this is THE ff. had everything. moved everyone. great story, great characters, INSANE summons (knights of the round anyone?)

ff8: my favourite. different than the rest, more realistic setting, but really nice setting too. summons are cool, but you sometimes have to use em too much.

ff9: dissapointment. nothing new. nothing cool.

ff10: haven't played it, but doesn't seem too original either.

i was happy when aerith died. she pissed me off. i never bothered getting yuffie because she pissed me off. tifa on the other hand :D

tifa and sephiroth made that game for me. it was great just because of his big sword and her big...... nevermind.

few games have pleased me more then FF7 (actually just jk2, tie fighter and wc3)

How can you not give a monkeys about the death of Aeris?

It was the turning point for so Cloud. Indecision. He had always been strong and dead sure, and now he had indecision. A new enemy to defeat which was up to him alone to face.

There is so much in it, and is also one of the most emotional moments from ANY game of ANY genre.

Really, to not give a monkeys is to have simply played the game, not trely understood it or BEEN it, which as sad as it sounds, it did for SOOOOO many people (top PSX game of all time for how many years running? Top RPG for how many years now....)

Sorry. RPGs just aren't my style. I'm more into the whole military, tactical shooter thing. That's why I love Raven Shield so much. :D

NURGH...! TANGO DOWN!

I tried to play Operation Flash Point, SWAT 3, Rainbow Seven / Rogue Spear etc, but gaming to me is escapism, and RPGs like FF, and JK, is secaping to worlds where I can do things I will never be able to do in real life.

New worlds, plants, flora, people, abilities.

Squad based shooters just seem to defeat the object of it it all, but I am not dissing them. they are good games, I just have no paitence with them.

CS is as far as I will venture in that direction, and its been months since I last touched that!
