A very wise man once said, "C is for cookie,.. and that's good enough for me! Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C!"

Truer words were never spoken.

You can also coose to set your cookie options in IE under Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced and set it to accept First Party, block 3rd Party, and allow session cookies.

Another way to do it is to set Hotmail and any other sites that give you this warning as one of the "Trusted Sites" in IE under Tools> Internet Options> Security> Trusted Sites> Sites, and then copy and paste the URL into the "Add this site..." box.

Hey! I happen to like Win XP Pro!

And I spend as much time on a Mac as I do a PC (not exactly by choice however.)

That doesn't mean I trust the folks in Redmond all that much, but they do occasionally come out with a really good product. It's just that, when they do, it's inevitably overpriced... and I inevitably buy it anyway.

I currently have on the shelf at least one fully-registered copy of every home-use-intended OS that Microsoft has released since Win95, with the possible exception of XP Home.

I have no problem with ms, infact I want them to be around. I was only jk. Oh and I know people that don't like microsoft and its because they want an operating system this is very complex where as ms is trying to sell to the general market. I have found that anyone that truely hates microsoft tends to use sun computers or atleast runs linux.

I have a dual boot system with WinXP and Mandrake 9.1 (which looks great!). I find myself booting to linux more and more, for several reasons:

  • reports of MS products secretly sending personal info, IE storing URL's in hidden files, the "sell your soul to me" EULA's
  • IE's many security leaks, and my patched version works like ****
  • MS's monopolistic behavior (ever tried to remove IE or Messenger 4.7?)
  • Linux distros and many programs are free to download
  • It's fun to discover a new OS

OS X is based on BSD, but comes with IE I believe, so I guess they're representatives of "The Third Way":o;)

linux is a piece of ****, if they really wanted a real OS that wasnt MS they would get BSD

It is a real OS, it has to be because nVidia writes drivers for it. :p

And BSD is for extremists. :D

Of course not. If they want it to be that way, the developers just have to copy the "missing parts" of the source of a BSD version and be done with it. Linux is a Unix derived operating system in its own right, with its own developing team which has its own ideas of what the OS should look like. A Unix-like OS is the whole idea behind it, but it would be silly if the goal of the Linux developing team were to make a copy of another OS.

It's Linux and Unix, not M$ and Apple. :D
