BUT, after the lava duel, it will mention that Darth Sidious has a new apprentice, DARTH VADER. When asked about Anakin (possibly by Padmé), Obi-Wan could say "Anakin Skywalker is dead.", justifing his views in the OT, and keeping the suspense if you watch the movies in chronilogical order.
