You never know I guess......

It'd be hard to do something like that for a massive game like KOTOR.

And oh yes, I'm getting it on PC.

:D

It seems to be both LA's and Bioware's trend to release demo's after the specific game comes out.

That's what they did with NWN and I have never seen a LA game have a demo before the game was out in recent years.

There was Galactic Battlegrounds but that's the most recent I remember and that came out in december 2001 and the demo

I thought came out in november 2001 and it only was the first level of the Imp campaign.

I hope they don't make a demo. That just means they aren't working on the game in my opinion. And it could also spoil part of the game. :)

yeah, i agree, i wouldn't mind it if they put a demo out for the pc though.:) j/k, i think its just a waist of time for a game this big, to make a demo. though some new content in an OXM magazine wouldn't be bad.:)

*wonders where takenames got his idea from*

I do not think you know of the masses that will flock to the game stores to get this game. :D I don't see any earthly reason why this game wouldn't be popular on X-Box. If Bio didn't think it would work they wouldn't of made the game for the X-Box.

It just so happens that more people on here posted to get the PC version. ;):)

Not everyone who will get it for X-Box posts in here........yet. :p

Pc owners/players hear me out.As a x box user/player,i suggest to you, that you try it out on xbox. You can't play pc games in HD with surround sound like xbox .Now,now--lets not get into PC vs xbox. We;ll be here all damn day.

Look, just rent it,besides KOTOR Halo will be addictive. There are alot of people looking forward to this game on xbox. All the magazines are saying its a must buy/have.Besides,xbox doesn't have any RPGs.

The game will sell great on xbox...leading to two..TWO very important questions...

1)-How many Cds is this game going to be on?

2)-WHEN it sells a few million, will there be a sequel???

Very interesting. I've been so focused on this game and how great its going to be and when it comes, and whatnot that I never even considered a sequel....

I'd prefer not to think about that until I've played KOTOR through a few times, then maybe I'll start to wonder.

Its like Xbox 2. What is that?? Xbox came out just over a year ago and they wanna get a new one out already??

I'll be playing it on XBox.

Though if I here about some great PC mods I'll be getting it for PC too.

I'm thinking of letting my XBox mag subscription run out. That whole whole KOTOR poster not being in the subscription thing was just crazy. :(

In a way, I'd like to see a sequel...

In a way, I'd hate to see a sequel...

You see, this game really seems to be building itself up to be a game of incredible proportions, much larger than we've ever seen in ANY Star Wars game, and much larger than a standalone EU product. This game will feature an entire galactic war and a chapter in the ongoing struggle between the Jedi and the Sith... it will create new characters, new locales, and new situations, and will shape the galaxy for years to come.

However, that final part will be removed when there's a sequel. Because of the two different paths, Light and Dark, we can be pretty sure that both endings will feature completely different endings.

One will probably see the hero becoming a warhero, a legend amongst the Republic, and has gained and helped lots of personal friends. The Republic will enjoy a new era of peace.

The other ending might see the hero turned into a villain, becoming a warlord, a scourge against the Republic, and dreaded by his ex-friends. The Republic will undergo a new era of war.

If there is a sequel, Bioware will have to undoubtly decide that one of these endings happened, and cancel the other. Plus, all the many possibilities that might've occured in the PC's quest will be lost, as this new sequel can follow but one storyline that occured. Seeing as how the PC will probably be a powerfyk Jedi Knight by the end of KotOR(up to par with Windu or Kenobi, I guess), you'd probably have to create an entire new character, which might mean that the PC of KotOR-1 might actually get a name chosen by Bioware....

Basically, a sequel could mean that all of Leru's(my char) accomplishments have been turned to nothing, because of this new sequel. Plus, a sequel tends to create a newer and badder threat that will undoubtly overshadow Malak's Sith Empire.

Now, a sequel could work if it was placed a few hundred years later in which the battles in KotOR-1 are but a mere legend, and details are sketchy. I sincerely hope that the Lucasbooks is going to use this route when they're adding KotOR to the timeline, instead of defining a main character, and describing which events occured in KotOR.

Still, if a sequel would be announced, I'd still follow and buy it :p

I'm with you Burrie. Even if the sequel did all the stuff with changing the names and forcing certain events, I would still follow and probably purchase the game simply based on its gameplay.

I agree with you there too Burrie, in a direct sequel normal enemies would become the guys you were facing toward the end game because you would be becoming so strong which really shunts your previous accomplishments asside.

I think an expansion pack could be a possibility, since both PC and X-Box will have all the char info and info about how you finished quests, romance states etc..on the hard drive. Also all Bioware's previous RPG's have had an expansion pack and also since an X pack would be much shorter than a new game it isn't as much of problem to have stronger enemies..though that depends on LucasArts, and a single ending(light side as always I'd think) might be done, tho that wouldn't really work as mentioned..or they could do something "interesting" like Ionstorm Austin have promised for Deus Ex: Invisible War

As for CDs..could be anybodys guess..4 CDs perhaps...only the people involved with the game know the answer
