J.K Luke Posted May 13, 2003 Share Posted May 13, 2003 Sorry, if this has been said before. I remember seeing 3 options (closed beta,open beta and final beta) when you signed up into the beta. So am I right to say that SWG is now still in closed beta as they have not gone into open beta yet. That means there are 2 more beta phases to go through... Hmmm... if open beta should start at the end of May/early June and I would reckon it takes around 1 or 2 months, would that mean that the release date would go around fall this year as they need to undergo the final beta? I've taken the time to search for the other topics that have said something about release. Dr. Zaius Posted May 15, 2003 Share Posted May 15, 2003 I dont know what you mean by all this final beta stuff, but let me try to clarify it to you. There are 3 stages of beta, obviously named beta 1, beta 2 and beta 3. Beta 1 was meant to find most of the bugs, and only have a select few test it. Beta 2 was designed for adding new worlds for the testers, as well as finding even more bugs, and they started to add more people to start to stress test the servers. Beta 3, is for polishing and for stress testing. By polishing I mean that all the major bugs are gone, and they are still attempting to locate minute ones.
