Treacherous Mercenary
Some of you may have not heard about the latest nVidia driver that came out a few days ago, don't download it. It will only cause you problems with games that use Direct 3D and only run OpenGL games. That's the only problem I came across, if you by chance downloaded the driver, go back to the archives and download the second latest driver and you should be fine then! Note: Those with FX cards, you might be fine however. For the link to the drivers, click here. Click the appropriate video card, then click archives and get the last driver from April.. Darth Simpson
Exactly how does it create problems? Could it just be your configuration, or is it a bad driver release from nVidia?

Jedi Apprentice
Well, I have a Geforce 3 card, but never even thought about downloading a driver for it. What is the point of downloading these drivers besides possible wrecking your computer? I've never had a problem with mine or had something it couldn't handle so I guess I wouldn't need it though. Com Raven
the fact that some new drivers can give your card a performance boost of uo to 30% for starters...
leXX
That's very strange because after I installed Enter the Matrix on the 15th, I had problems with it. I spoke to technical help and they said download the latest driver that has just been released, which I did, and the new driver fixed the problems. I've also installed Morrowind recently (that's where I've been btw, playing Morrowind and ETM among other things) and I've had absolutely no problems with it. Maybe it's just you. *shrugs* I have a 128MB NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE 3D Blaster.

It seems others have had problems aswell.... Are those Direct3d games btw? If it's OpenGL, it should be fine. Well, I have a Geforce 3 card, but never even thought about downloading a driver for it. What is the point of downloading these drivers besides possible wrecking your computer? Performance, some bug fixes and such from the drivers, and sometimes options... So drivers are like patches for hardware... Having the latest drivers is always good to have! Although the drivers they release the first week, it's good to hold off.. How long, that's up to you I guess.
