Anyone else have this game? Been out for a few days now - it's absolutely brilliant :D

Way better than the PS2 version. I love it, and am totally addicted :p

GTA 3 seemed like a perfect game when it came out, now Rockstar seem to have gone and made a perfect game better!

Top quality!

Yeah it's supah dupah great!! I think it is slightly better than GTA3; better graphics, motorcycles, helicopters, cutscenes etc. But it has a different feel and that's what I like about these two games, you don't get the feeling they're the same!!

BTW, the graphics look GREAT!! I really like the boulevard, with all the neon lights, just great!!

And if you collect secret packages, you get nice pickups, here's a gide to get them, it's way harder to get them, but the ultimate reward is an APACHE HELICOPTER!! To get it you have to fly in the military base verytime, but it's worth it, easy vigilante missions hehe :)

I have not forgotten about it, I've been playing it everyday since it's release! I agree with your assessment of the game as well! I just think they did something right with this new game......and I didn't think that GTA 3 left much room for improvement. :)

My favorite thing is to cruise around on the motorcycles! :D

It's really adrenaline pumping to ride on a PCJ 300 (or whatever ;)) at full speed on the wrong side of the longest straight road you can find... And then bumping into a big truck... OUCH!!!

Oh and once you get yourself a nice villa, I like looking at it, thinking 'I told you I was going to make it, MWUAHAHAA' :)

Are you guys buying properties already?? Makes you a good deal of money too you know :) I bought the Malibu club with the $100,000 I earned with finding the hidden packages :D And now I have acces to new missions and stuff, replayability is BIG with GTA:VC too!!

I haven't played it anywhere near enough to have found all the hidden packages yet :p

I'm playing the missions at the moment, some are pretty tough. However, I've got some time on my hands, so maybe I'll go for the hidden packages :p

I just bought a property in Downtown that has a Maverick on the roof, I just fancied having my own private chopper :p

Well if you can buy property in downtown, you must have finished the Diaz Mansion mission right?? There's a helicopter on that roof too. And with 80 packages there's a chopper with mounted machingun that can land on water at the back of the mansion :)

I'm kinda stuck now btw, I have a mission where I have to drive against some unbeatable guy (it's a Malibu Club mission) and one where I have to steer some airplanes with bombs to cuban boats, but I just can't control those damn planes!!

i agree, the RC planes missino is kinda hardm but beating the guy in the race isn't, i got it on the first try... but keep trying because your next malibu mission is really cool, probaply one of the best in the game, IMO.

I just played the "Cop Land" mission - that was damn hard!

I also have all the hidden packages, and in combination with a cop uniform makes getting the Hunter easy ;) It's great fun flying that thing round - especially air combat with police copters :p

I need to find all the cars on the list at the showroom, then the business should start making some real money :)

I'm replaying the game again and I have 98 secret packages. I'm missing one at the airport near the tower? The other I have no clue, but I kow I have all from the first island, middle islands, and the top half of the last island. It has to be South of Phil's place?

The hardest cars for me were the golf cart and the sabre (it wouldn't appear forver).

I found a dead body who looks like Diaz in the the water with cement "shoes" on. Go to the linkin links golf course. Off the coast between the course and the last island is a small underwater rock formation. He's just below the surface with his hands up. THere's also a huge tanker that crashed in the South port harbor of the last island. It's South of those little water huts. :D

Eh have you read this guide?

http://bradsnet.net/index.asp?F=grand%5Ftheft%5Fauto%5Fvice%5Fcity%5Fpackages%2Etxt

It helped me finding the packages :) I'm to lazy to search for them myself, I only found 12 of them before I started with the guide :) Oh and you can use pretty much any hidden packages map that has numbers to use with this guide, the numbers are the same and a map can be very nice :)

I now completed the pole position club asset and now it's starting to make money. Next I'll do the taxi missions and then the sunshine cars missions... And after that I'll buy more property :)

Oh BTW, when you buy the pole position, a mr. vercetti suit is delivered a few buildings further, it's really great :)

94. North of #93 there is a fire station. It has an antenna on top, it's

impossible to miss. This package is on the west side of the building.

That's the one I'm missing, but I can't find it. I've searched for a good while now. I'm going to look from #62 to #99 and see what I can find.

I used that map and guide when I was stuck at 87 packages. I found 11 more easily after that. I went in order, but still can not find the last two. I just want the hunter to beat the missions again, lol. I've beaten the game already, but now I'm plaing to get as much ammo before I do the missions. It makes a big difference in the game, lol :D

You mean Sunshine Cars, the one you can buy?? I didn't need a limo for those missions :) I found them all pretty quick. And yes, the Diaz mansion usually has a limo :)

Also I did the 'Job' mission now, it's great and I like the interior of the bank :D I now completed the assets for Kaufmann Cabs, Pole Position Club, Malibu Club, er... that's it I believe, now I need to do the shipyard asset :)
