Oystein Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Maybe a bit late, but I just wanna wish every Norwegian user on this forum a happy 17th of May. Not much celebration on me though, the reason being I'm a bit hungover after last night. The day is most fun for the kiddies and the old people anyway. So, happy Constitution Day and gratulerer med dagen!
Gabez Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Happy Constitution Day then! Um, so what is it exactly?
Huz Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 You say you'll change the constitution! Well, you know We all want to change your head.

The 17th of May in the year 1814, Norway finally got a constitution of their own. But we couldn't declare independence until 1905 because of a union with Sweden. The union was a result of something that happened after the Napoleon wars. However, 17.05 is our most important national holiday.
BooJaka Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 So when's Independence Day and are you expecting aliens?
Alien426 Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 We don't visit on Independence Days anymore: bad experiences!
