Deadmeat_X
Lots of topics get closed nowadays, and well, often I can see why. I mean, natty 'singing' topics? She's just asking for it. And to be honest, I got nothing against spam, but obviously the mods do, and their ruining our fun... So what's your opinion? Too much closing? Too much spam? How to solve it... Here's a solution: a seperate spam-forum. I've seen it on many other fora, you can post all you want there, and after some time its cleaned up. Or even better, on the fora of tripletriad.net, the posts in the spam-section dont even add up to your post count.
Yufster
I think spam in moderation is fine. I mean, in the harbor it should be made fine. So long as it's not racial spam or RELIGIOUSSSSSSS spam, it's fine. The Harbour should be a place for the users of this forum to get to know each other. Sticking to topic is gonna mean creating a hell of a lot of new topics every time somebody has an inkling of an idea. Think, ME, on Red Bull, multiplied by 20. Not a pretty sight. Feral
Personally, I don't mind it too much, but if it's truly idiotic, or members are getting flamed, or the spam is really spamtastic, I'll close the thread.

Joshi
There's a difference. There is spam like "I like Cheese", no conceivable need for it whatsoever and no one can make anything out of it. So what's the other kind? Well, the best example I can give is Natty's Swear Word and Porno topics, I persona;lly didn't find it offensive adn i don't thing any others people did, blah blah blah... . But we could participate in this thread, we all got a lot of laughs out of it, it was fun. It was almost exactly the same as any kind of link-on. In my opinion, that kind of spam is okay, it's the first kind that should be stopped. That's of course my opinion.
Al-back from the BigWhoop
well, neil said it all. Originally posted by The Feral Chicken if it's truly idiotic, or members are getting flamed, or the spam is really spamtastic, I'll close the thread. or if it is plain silly. of if died. or if or if you have nothing else to do ok no, but seriously, topics should b closed only when things get out of control. remember that first meksillon topic, when after the topic was closed ppl started new topics to fight to death about that topic. closing the original topic and deleting those others was a good move. another example of good closing is that "i hate you all topic" before any1 could reply. it would have been a problem if some1 had replied to that. again, thats imo.
