Rypht Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Hi everyone, new to the forum, you can blame Thrik for that if I turn out to be completely insane... which probably is true Anyhow, I know its a bold idea, I know it might not work, and with all the things on the horizon and the lactose intolerant volcano god below the odds are against such a thing, but I'd love to see a Massively Monkey Island! :monkey1:
Thrik Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Hey, hey. It's be interesting to have a massively multiplayer RPG/adventure Monkey Island game. I have NO idea how it'd work, but it'd be cool being able to talk to real people in the MI world and go into the Scumm Bar and buy drinks and such. Although I'd imagaine the gameplay would get a bit boring after a while.
Yufster Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 I'm sorry, I have to say that I'm completely against MI fangames because they're generally boring and unimaginative. However, it'd still be fun to see
Thrik Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 Who said anything about a fangame? No fan would probably be able to host the kind of server these "Massively Multiplayer" games run on anyway.
swediot=) Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 yeh so i dont think it would happen... Lucas arts would be busy with SWG right now cartoony stupid prate and monkey mod could be made
brief Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 MMORPG is cool, but who will get to be Guybrush, Elaine, Wally, or Murray, etc.? Monkey Island would just not be Monkey Island without certain people.
Bushmeister Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Hmmm nice idea but I doubt it would ever happen. brief > the only people I think that would/could play as them would be game developers. Or the characters could be static like some important ones in SWG.
