OmegaNothing
Does sidious even have/use a lightsaber or will he just use the force in battles? I know dooku tried to use the force instead of a saber duel, but he's just an apprentice when Sidious is a master and therefore may not even need to use a lightsaber at all. Anyone have any ideas? I think it would be weird to see Sidious in a lightsaber battle.
JediNyt
We shall fine out in just under 2 years. I think it would be cool. Seems logical to me, Sith use lightsabers and Sidious is a Sith. I mean the head Jedi uses one so why not the head Sith? Besides if he didnt then Yoda would easily woop him.
wassup
Just like how unexpectantly we saw Yoda kick a$$ with his saber in Ep. 2, we might see something like that with Sidious in Ep. 3. Though I think Sidious is more of a "Use the lightsaber as last resort" kind of Sith.

OmegaNothing
My guess is we see him kill some jedi with just the force, then maybe use a saber on one of the stronger ones.
Macbeth2k1
I don't think we'll see Sidious kill anyone. I doubt the jedi will ever even know who he is. He strikes me as a behind-the-scenes villan. He's taken too much care and too much work and planning to let something like his true identity become known to anyone. I just started reading a short story in the lastest SW Insider written by Tim Zahn where an emmissary of Palpatine thinks that he is also a secret agent for Sidious. He thinks they are two seperate people. He is in contact with both of them, follows Palpatine's orders and then reports his status to Sidious and what Palpatine is doing. Its kinda funny because he doesn't know. So, I'm hoping he doesn't break character and start fighting with Mace or whoever. He would rather use Dooku or Anakin to kill the other jedi for him. Yah I think in Episode III Sidious/Palpatine would be busy trying to overthrow the Senate and declaring martial law, while his apprentice Dooku would be the one doing his "dirty work". OmegaNothing
First of all he doesn't need to try to overthrow the senate, remember he's been granted emergency powers which means he can do anything he wants without the vote of the senate. Also I think we will see palpatine fight at last one jedi.

Also I think we will see palpatine fight at last one jedi. well, he may have emergency powers, but he does double as a sith lord who they dont know yet, the emergency powers wont permit him to turn the senate into a power of the dark side.when the time comes when everyone else is preoccupied with the clone war set up by him,his plan of taking over at the weakest point will work. and i dont beleive ol' palpy will be swinging his medicing stick at any jedi anytime soon, he is one of those, i got the power so use it. also dont forget that before he was a sith apprentice, he was a jedi master trained b the best, his force powers aint bad, juts he can beet the litle green guy. The Cheat
i think it would be cool to see him fight (just like it was cool to see yoda fight) but it is not necesary and i am actually hoping it is dooku who kills windu
Jedi_Monk
Yah I think in Episode III Sidious/Palpatine would be busy trying to overthrow the Senate Palpatine won't overtrow the Senate in SW3. Remember, the Senate was just disolved in SW4, which is roughly 18 years later. Just think, the annhilation of democracy begun in the Prequels will not reach its climax until mid-way through SW4. Kinda makes you think, huh?
The Cheat
i thought i remember one of the imperials say that if word leaks that they are holding princess leia it could give the rebels sympathy in the senate so i guess it still does exist in the original trilogy we just never see it
