What I find funny is that the guys that make the mod's are are making them better than the professional guys that are made the game.

I voted No. The reason I am a firm believer in Democracy and the right to say and do as you please. (Of course there is alway consequences to your actions.) So whether people love, hate, enjoy or dont care about the game/s they have a right to come here and voice their opinions. Mind you if they break the forum rules then they must accept the consequences.

I think the ppl who are negative about, say JA, are sometimes totally unrational (sp?)!! They have had some bad experiences with JO (which I can understand, JO had it's flaws) and now they seem to think that Raven sucks, LA sucks, JA sucks etc etc. I think that everyone here should discuss things in a rational way, civilized and not too stubborn!!

 

Everyone can give their opinion, but please, give good arguments for them or it won't be a discussion, but a flame war

Because I'm quite displeased with Raven's work and LEC's direction and I'm in a minority. This wasn't always the case but now I am clearly a salmon trying to swim upstream.

 

Since I intend to choose my battles in this world, I'm ready to leave if the community at large doesn't want me around.

Do you like any of Raven's games? Especially the newer ones like Elite Force or SoFII? I'm just wondering, since between SOFII and JKII there are many common elements, as would be expected for two games on the same engine in roughly the same genre released less than two months apart. My wondering is that if you've never liked anything they've done, what is the likelihood you'll like the next game (JA) ... or Quake IV for that matter.

 

I think I understand what you mean when you talk about LEC - you are of the opinion that they are throwing a bunch of stuff against the wall to see what will stick, and in this case JKII stuck, so time for more throwing with JA? Is that a fair analogy?

I was just asking a question based on your comment based on the entire topic of the thread. I was just wondering - you need not answer. ANyway, it shouldn't impact whether or not you stay - I think that is your choice. As others have said, so long as someone isn't being abusive of others or the system, why not stay ... it must be disheartening to feel in the minority opinion on something that used to bring you pleasure. Bummer.
