Pad
'Festivalitis? Yea, thats right and thats the desease im suffering right now. You prolly are wondering what it is so ill explain it ya: You might have noticed (or not) that i was away for 5 days. Its because i went to the biggest festival in Belgium: Rock Werchter. Rock Werchter was having its 25th birthday and the organisation thought it needed to be special, and i can assure you it was very special. 4 days of the best bands in the world gattered in 1 place. Rockheaven! Here´s my report: Thursday: After gettin my report card (i passed), we pakked our bags and drove towards the Werchter. After a 4hour waiting in line we finally arrived at our camping spot: A3, about 1km (10min) walkin from the main festival area. We set up our tents and made us some food as we still needed to wait for 4hours untill we could enter the main area. 9.45pm: we are standing at the entrance and are waiting allong with thousands to enter. Bjork has already started and appearantly the wating que´s arent moving at all. 11.45pm: yay, we finally reached the main area and not a second too early as Radiohead has just started playing. Afer a nice life performance it was time for Underworld to get the party started. And so they did! Friday: 4.00am: the first day of Werchter has ended and we are goin to our tents for party nr2. 6.00am: day2 has begun and we still havent gone to bed, but soon will be. 8.00am: its too hot to be able to sleep so we got up and started drinkin, walked around, played some frisbee, met some nice ppl,... 5.25pm: time to go to the main area for Feeder´s performance. Not bad if you ask me. 6.55pm: Grandaddy starts on the second stage (marquee) so i drag myself to there to get to see their show and to take some pics. After Grandaddy, Tricky takes control of the Marquee. Their nice show ended and now im runnin towards the main stage to get a good spot for Moby. 10.00pm: Moby enters and with his well known songs he turns the crowd on fire with as result: 90.000people jumpin up and down. He gave me goosbumps when he covered Radiohead´s Creep (a song which Radiohead doesnt want to sing anymore). 11.55pm: Massive Attack enters the main stage and ends the second day. Saturday: 1.00pm: After draggin ourselfs to our tents again and not sleepin much offcourse we get back to the main area for some more heavenly bands. 2.45pm: Millionare, Belgium´s hope in cold days, starts their show and i find myself at the front rows jumpin up and down and doin much other crazy stuff. 3.45pm: i can finally have some rest. Xzibit and Anouk are now goin to perform but they are not my real intrest. 7.00pm: we are trying to get to the front rows to have a good spot for Queens of the Stone Age. 8.25pm: we head back to our tents to make us some dinner. 11.00pm: Metallica puts the crowd on fire with their well known songs. Their fireworks make the crowd even more goin OOOEEEE. 1.00am: Metallica has ended and we are now heading towards Röyksopp for the final party of the evening. Sunday: 11.00am: Again to the main area for Das Pop 1.30pm: Stereophonics have control over the main stage and are now singin their well known songs: have a nice day, mr writer,... 4.20pm: We try to go the first rows as we wanne see The Cardigans from up close because well, Nena is a "foxy girl". 5.20pm: Heading as fast as possible to the Marquee for Skin. 7.15pm: we are now at the FIRST row cause we want to se Moloko from up close. Their show starts45min later and puts the Marquee completely on fire. People are chanting their songs, evrybody is jumpin and whenever the end a song the applause lasts for minutes. 9.00pm. Mololo has ended and its back to the main stage for Coldplay and R.E.M. When they end we get some nice fireworks and Rock Werchter has ended. I had the best time you could imagine but im now very happy i can sleep in my own bed again. So do any of you have festivalitis? comming home from a festival/concert and still playing air guitar, jumpin, cheering,.... or having that huge urge to go to festivals/concerts pics are in the way

•-BLaCKouT-•
That's a pretty smart line-up, I gotta say I should be doing the Reading festival this year hopefully (seeing as how I only live half-an-hour away ) B.
Eldritch
You know, I almost thought this thread was titled "Festivus." Anyone seen the Seinfeld episode (I know it's not exactly popular outside the US, but I figure some of you might've seen it) where George's father talks about his unconventional alternative to most normal December holidays (Christmas/Channukah/Kwanza/etc) called "Festivus (for the rest of us)". No? Ok, I guess it's just me. Nice concert though, Pad.
Sam Fisher
Yeah, that's like the only one I've watched. I don't even have a TV!
