AGemma
I've installed it, using the key, and everything is playing beautifully. Except that it's up-side down. Yes, I kid you not. Certain scenes are upside down, the logo is both upside down and "mirrored". Never ever encountered a probl like this before. Anybody know what the hell might be wrong? *can't help but laughing*
Benny
The video codecs probably. I remember the demo wanted the truemotion codec, so the full game probably does..so if you have one of those 'mirror' codecs installed on your system perhaps theres a conflict? AGemma
oh... I've got a gazillion codecs. Okay, maybe not that many but still! I'll go and look for Truemotion, and see what happens. Thanks benny!
Benny
Well dont go and install truemotion, just remove the mirror codec if you have it on your system if you can. You may have got it if you installed a big codec pack like Nimo or similar.
jaf
i didnt get that bug... I checked another forum and they say that you gotta run the file cfg_ffdshow.bat (search for it in your comp) and check the "flip video" box... hope it helps
AGemma
Yeah, just noticed that Truemotion cost money. So you're suggesting I uninstall my other codecs? Alrightee... It's going to be a mess installing them again. *damn* I hate stuff like this! Thanks for your advice Benny!
AGemma
Cool Jaf! I'll do that before starting to remove stuff from my puter, that I actually need from time to time! Thanks!
AGemma
hmmm... I do have ffdshow-codec installed, but can't seem to find the bat for it! (if that's the proper lingo, hehehehehe!) Oh well, the hunt continues!
AGemma
Okay, I'd better stop now before being accused of spamming! Turns out I had ffdshow installed twice, once in the Nimo-lite pak and once by it's own. Uninstalling the singular ffdshow, seems to have taken care of the problem! Wohoo! Thanks a bunch guys! Homoludens
emma, just flip your monitor over. Problem solved.
AGemma
LOL! I would, weren't it for the fact that not everything was upside down, just some of the stuff! Perhaps tilting it to the side? And how did I know this comment would turn up sooner or later?

Firefoot
*starts baning his head against the wall* Emma... you're blessed with the same problem as almost all Benelux Runaway players... it you're lucky you just install the codec e.g. from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53761 (ffdshow-20020617.exe) and then it should work... I heard the codec should be on the CD too, but I haven't checked... If you're less lucky you should start uninstalling other codecs since some other codecs (don't ask which) disturb the functionality of the FFDShow codec... This is really a h*ll... I'm moderator on the Benelux Runaway forums and I don't know how many ppl share these problems... horrible! If it still doesn't work I may have some other sollutions from the forums... but I probably have to translate them for you... [edit]Oops, missed the post you said it already worked... well... it may help other ppl out...
