amishler
I noticed earlier on Just Adventure that Microids has come out of bankruptcy proceedings. There's a news release that has a lot of legalese, so I didn't follow it very well, but it sounds like good news. If you're up for a real challenge, you can try to translate French legalese. Fun! Moosferatu
Yeah, I read that several weeks ago. Microids isn't my favorite, but it is still good to hear that they made it out of backruptcy.

DomStLeger
The interesting thing about Microids restructuring is that it seems to be redirecting itself towards adventure instead of it's old wider focus (The press release focuses it's praise on Post Mortem and Syberia when they outline their success...) . To me this suggests there is money in adventure games again and they seem to know when they're onto a good thing. Anyway good news for the genre... Homoludens
Then let's hope they strive for the highest quality adventure. God knows how much most titles are lacking these days.
Mattsius
Originally posted by Homoludens God knows how much most titles are lacking these days. No kidding! Microids adventure games are pretty good though, with Syberia on the top and Syberia 2 looking to become their new flagship. Post Mortem wasn't really my cup of tea, but it was ok I guess. Amerzone I just bought, actually, I have installed it and have looked at it a bit but so far I don't really like what I see. You shouldn't judge a book buy it's covers though so it might be quite good, I don't know yet. Sadly I don't have the time to play it for the next couple of months, but maybe after that I will give it a try. I'm just babbling here now, so I'll stop. Anyways, I hope that Microids will do well in the future. They deserve it.
