random_sith Posted August 13, 2003 Author Posted August 13, 2003 model is now available at massassi.net! and btw thank you hellfire, and your brother you guys get to try it yet?
The Cheat Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 wow i typed masassi.net by accident and got a bunch of porn, so be careful how you type it sweet skin by the way
Zappa_0 Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Cool...ill download it when I get back on my PC. The updated pics looked great by the way.
Antizac Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Beautiful job! I can't find a single difference between your model, and the one from the movies (except for the obvious differences. But, hey one's real, one's not.)... If I start my SP project again, I wanna use this Vader model! This one is as close as you can get to the movies!
Crowy Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 hehehe ive had the porn thing as wel the cheat!! thanks hellfire jedis brother for vader... and especially thanks to sithlord II for getting this anally kicking model in-game!!!

I've tried it. Its prolly way better than Cheshire's. Its not a nasty clip bug. Go to the red/strong stance strafe left and swing, on his right side of his chest there is a HUGE hole.
random_sith Posted August 13, 2003 Author Posted August 13, 2003 yeah, the hole behind the chest was hard to hide The way it was modeled, only the front of the torso was made, no actual shoulders or back... that was a pain to try and hide and even then, ingame you can still notice it so i did my best to hide it via two-sided textures and weighting the shoulders near the cloak... the whole torso in fact had seperately modeled parts.... the inner cloak, the chest piece, the front of the torso, the shoulders, the armor.. for having it weighted and not having it all break apart, that was a *lot* of fun... but hey, its ingame and it works fairly well, and it does look better if you put it beside the old vader model
DarkLord60 Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 Something isn't right about the model. I like it but for some reason vader will walk on ground in normal MP game but in Forcemod II or any mod that deals with model sizing vader will clip through the ground his chest is at ground level. I thought maybe I it was the tckmodel scaling size but it was set to proper height 1.13 1.0 Anyone have any idea maybe its just forcemod II and if it is Ill have to get hold of our good bud Azymn.
The Cheat Posted August 14, 2003 Posted August 14, 2003 this is now my favorite model to play with, very awesome, great job
NeoMarz1 Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 I have to say the model is cool, and the skin is very detailed. The model is well represented! Mars out!
The Cheat Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 i saw it up on jk2files so if anybody doesnt have it you can get it there
Hellfire Jedi Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 On massassi.net it has some modeling tuts for 3dsmax.
Hellfire Jedi Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Nope, because G-max doesn't give you enough options to get a model in-game. Besides, off-topic posts like that belong in General Discussion not NLS's Vader model thread.
IPHDTD Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 all i can say is, this model is phenominal. nearly flawless. the best vader yet.....except for one small problem. his arms clip thru his cape like a mo' fo'. fix that one small problem and itll be perfect.
The Cheat Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 yeah a lot of models have clipping issues and sometimes these issues are very difficult and even sometimes impossible to fix on a model, nls made an awesome model that is close to perfect so i think we can live with the little problems
The Count Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 This Darth Vader is cool, really good, however it will only be on my Hard Drive before that God Hapslash gets his 1337 Datth Vader Model out.
