assistance with stuff (binds,colored text, killtracker...)

Hey, I have played for a little while but if these questions could be answered it would be appreciated.

 

1) I just download Mau'dae's Kill Tracker and have extracted it but how do I make it work in game

 

2) How do you make your name letter coloured

 

3) How do you bind messages to certain keys

KT - start it up put your name in the box just like it is in game and leave it running

 

start up the game and open the console by pressing shift+ ~

 

type /name then press enter, that "signs you in"

 

 

 

 

 

colors in names as follows:

 

Shift+6 to make this symbol ^then a number.

 

^1Farscape

 

will look like

 

Farscape

 

^1Far^4scape

 

will look like

 

Farscape

 

 

colors are

 

1 red

2 green

3 yelow

4 blue

5 light blue

6 purple/pink

7 white

0 black

 

to bind stuff open the console (shift+ ~) and type

 

\bind keyhere command here

 

 

example:

 

\bind G say ^1hello

 

every time you press G you will say hello

 

 

for team games the command would be:

 

\bind G say_team your-message-here

Btw, If my in game name is in colour do I put the exact same thing into the Kill Tracker box? And if the command is greater than one word do i use brackets?

Now there's a question I have. I've known about colored names for ages, but HOW in the heck, do you get black text to appear in game?

 

I can change it to black, but it only appears that way in player setup, not IN-game.

 

Anybody know the trick?

Some people have flags before their names and stuff like that, how do I get my name like that?

no just type /name in the console while you are playing. you don't need to enter your name into the kill tracker if you do that.

depends.

 

some mods like =X= mod or JA mod allow black text but if it is base jk2 you kind of have to trick it because black names are restricted.

 

 

to get a black name in base do this in the console, not the player menu:

 

\name ^1^^0Kurgan

 

^Kurgan is what you will see when you type some text or get a kill message.

 

You can make the "^" any color you want, but there needs to be one before the name if you want it black.

 

However if you press tab it will look like this on the score board:

 

0Kurgan

 

but don't worry, kill messages and text chat still will show your name as black.
