WYSIWYG or text only?

I asked this about - two years ago? I thought it was time to ask again. Do you prefer text-based editors to What-you-see-is-what-you-get? Or both?

If it's meant for publication in any form (even informal stuff, like this piece of crap), text all the way.

 

If it's just to keep running notes, and I'm supposed to be viewing it at the same time I'm editing it, I'll use a WYSIWYG. I used MS Word when applying for jobs, to keep track of whom I had applied to, and what I had to do next (thank you letter, interview, etc.). (My resume also was in Word, but that's because it's what everyone wants. I'm now worried I may have sent some URLs to hardcore porn sites along with my resume..)

Depends... I hate WYSIWYG HTML editors... but document editors may be handy to get what you see...
