  1. I should have it somewhere on my harddrive.

Know what, when I find it, I shall upload it and send you PM (Private Message) with link.

    So you can download it.

Tanias Replacer is used for the head models. Other models like weapons, visors and such is done with Mdlops 0.5.

And if you"re really adventerous to have you're own area model its Kaurora you need :)

  2. I'll be honest; I can't see a differance... at all

And as you say, when people just play the game, they won't go zoom'n in all the time to peek at the weapon.

I'll pack up the Max file from the other saber. I think I've got a save where everything stands ready to be exported.

  3. Hey, all is well on my side. Been busy prepping to move house in early Januari. And working, holiday season... at a general food store; HELL on earth incoming for the next 2 1/2 weeks Doing more hours, sucks... And next to that lazying around all the time x-D

  4. Great, working my vacation job: kitchen duty in a local retirement home => serving the old folks.

Got the early shift for the next 3 weeks, starting at 6:00 and done at 14:00 in the afternoon. Bit fatigued, needed it though to get some more body movement. :p

Nothing has happened on the modding front so far :(

  5. Wow, that would take some fiddling about. Khrizby had a thread about transplanting models on to other skeletons. Though, he was placing full models, like Nihilus onto regular player animations. So it stays one Mesh.

Hmm, still, attaching the head to the body mesh, would make it one. It would then take a long buggy session of rigging the thing.

Anyway, I don't see the merging of head & body, then rigging it as the major problem. It's that the game might have a fixed list of models... I'm not sure, if you CAN add a new model. Unless you plan on replacing an unused model?

  6. Ooh, hey, J7 :)

Haven't continued to work on the texture just yet. My Warhammer painting frenzy has taken it's toll on my free time

But, from now Friday, I have a week off! No work! Tons of free time awaits me :p

So you can bet I'll get something finished :D

  7. Hey,

Doing well, things have changed a lot in my life.

Moved in with my girlfriend and a whole host of things had to be figured out and all.

I'm sure you know how hectic life can get :)

  8. It's been awhile since we made some nice render shots! :p

Can you include the finished Juhani skins aswell. I still got her rigged in Max; but I only have your older versions of her skin.

I'll do my best to get you the other hilt model Max files; ASAP.

  9. Well, you loose certain things:

    - the lighting isn't going to be the same, not sure if the lightmaps would keep working. IIRC they won't work.

    - Emitters => Sparky or smoke effects will be lost. You would need to add them again.

    - Walkmeshes get broken most of the times. But since you would be making new layouts its best to make them yourself again.

So essentially you would only be able to keep the architecture.

  10. Boe ! Check your PM box ;)

  11. Nice look'n models :p

    Skins aren't bad either!

  12. Lol, no problem :)

  13. Hmmm, my most recent works have about 40.000 polys in the end.

Though thats the whole model in one big file.

Just like Bioware & Obsidian I cut up my model into chuncks. My average is about 8 to 10. So its like ruffly 4.000 polys a part, give or take a 1000.

For smoke effects you'll need to place an Emitter. You should find that in the Create tab, with the AuroraLight and Aurorabase.

Just place it in your scene, their ain't much you can set in Max. Its all handled in Kaurora.

Now to find some good settings, get a Binary MDL & MDX from an orginale module, one with an smoke effect in. Load that into Kaurora.

Then the go to Emitters, you should get a small pop-up window, with a short list of emitters in that model. Just select one and then you should be able to get its settings, Edit Controllers!

Now take a piece of paper and go through each Tab, its a lot you can fiddle around with.

To much to go into detail here :)

  14. It certainly has improved. And I can see the brighter side again of life :)

Do you still have some nice Twi'lek skins I can render? ^_^

  15. No, not yet :(

Worked on my Korriban stuff on saturday, but wasn't happy with it.

Was kinda pissed at 3Ds Max, didn't touch it on sunday

Anyway it made me ponder on what to do on that, though, a positive note:

I got 3Ds Max 2010 running! With NWmax ofcourse :p

So swapping files shouldn't be a real issue anymore.

  16. Continueing my ramble: Use this note to setup your own emitter.

Anyway, thats how I always do it, I look if the game doesn't have an effect I like. Then I load in the model, note down the settings and then adjusting it to my taste :p

  17. I've send you a PM on the subject matter, had to many characters to reply here

  18. Meeps,

Just to let you know, I've been messing about with the mask-head.

Though no positive results so far, besides the funny big-head thing

Actually I'm a bit worried, results of my tests went from bad to worse, to game crashing... :-S

Not sure what's so differant than adding a cube to a head.

  19. Well I see no problems then ;)
  20. I've looked up Miros Tutorial, and he got most of the info from me and Settokon

Anyway, the clone trooper and storm trooper mods just use regular helmets.

So there was nothing in there that was much helpfull. I've got another idea on what might fix my issues. But if that dosen't work? Eh, then I'll have to do some real hard thinking

  21. Hey, hope your on Skype tonight, been working on your TSL hilt ;-)

  22. Hey, Greggo!

I started on texturing the model, it's near completion. But I had serious internet troubles and we had to wait on help from the providor to solve it all.

Been really annoying to be without internet x-D

Expect to get the saber within the next day or something!

  23. Yep, that's me and my girl. Where almost 6 months together now ^_^

  24. Glad to hear, they helped! ^_^

  25. Spamm'n your pages, thats what I'm doing... yeeeeeeeessss :p

No not drunk, just spamm'n away... rather bored -_-
