    The ones I can think of that are definitely not the original head mdl are:

    (numbers are based on this image, but might not correspond to the file names)

    brown 2, Kazerian 1, Kiffar 3, all 3 Miraluka, all 4 Rattataki.

    If there are any others that are changed, it's probably to make the uvw map match the texture better (like the hair of Asian 3 & Echani 2).

  3. hey j7, are you still kicking around? I was hoping to get your input on the latest skins for the Juhani mod. I've finally gotten around to finishing the cheetah and lioness underwear skins, and tweaking the faces. It's all in the thread.

  4. hey pal, for your Bastila clothes where you want to have the skin of her arms and legs showing, what I'd do is to copy and paste areas from her underwear tga image. You can probably also do that for the area on her back (like the shoulder blades), although, you might need to do some manual editing to get rid of the bra straps.

    The two images probably won't match up perfectly, but you can always Scale and Warp them (under the Edit pull down menu). The process I go through is really long to describe step by step, so it will be awhile before I put it in a tutorial.

  7. Hey Quanon, I only just heard how serious things are for you right now. I'm glad to hear that you're seeking treatment and help. I know from personal experience how depression can affect a person's thoughts (although I've never attempted suicide); I still have to keep vigilant that I don't get that ill again. I do know that no matter what happens to me, there are people around my to rely on, and who rely on me. I'm sure the same can be said of the people around you.

    As for head mods, that's what I like the most too. You can probably tell that from all the aliens I've released so far.

  10. Hey there Kha. I didn't want to resurect a thread from 2006, so I'm hoping to contact you here.

    I was trying to merge some models using your tutorial, but you suddenly stop and say "Hope someone is reading all this stuff... any feedback is welcome." I'm not sure what to do after that.

    My goal is to simply add a FreeLookHook to the (TSL) n_ondsoldm1.mdl, but I was trying to do it by merging the mesh onto the bones and helpers of pmbam.mdl so that the Onderon soldier could be used as a playable character.

    Another mod I was trying to make was to merge the (K1) upper body torso of pfbjm.mdl onto n_darthrevanm.mdl so that I could remove the cape and hood, yet keep the skirt and belt. This would be my basis for an Asajj Ventress style robe.

  11. hey, do you know of an iPhone app that can edit .doc files AND has a spell checker built in? So far, the best app I can find is Quickoffice, since it can open and edit .docs, but id doesn't have a spell checker. I'm ok at spelling, but an automated checker always helps.

     

    I was thinking that if you have dialog files typed up in .doc, then I could try editing them (for spelling, grammar) while I'm riding the bus to and from work. Of course, that'd only be for the ones that are finished, not the ones that are still being written.

  12. Hey, have you heard from LordRevan999 in a while? Does anyone know how he's doing? I'm kinda worried because this summer in Pakistan there were some serious floods. The place he has listed as his location (Rahim Yar Khan) is only about 20km from the river that overflowed it's banks.

     

    Anyway, if you or anyone else at Team Hssiss knows if he's ok, please let me know.

    It talks about changing text font colours, but by hex editing .gui files.

     

    I'd suggest starting with R=201, G=127, B=28. It is similar to the RoR logo, and should have decent contrast with a black background. If you devide by 255 like it says, that would be

    R=0.78823529411764705882352941176471

    G=0.49803921568627450980392156862745

    B=0.10980392156862745098039215686275

  14. hey, I tried to check out the tusken/robe model, but I couldn't open the ascii file in gmax. So, either I'd need to edit it first then Dak could get it animated properly, or it would be completely up to Dak to re-model it, and edit the uvw map.

     

    I played around with my own old headless tusken, and made the model's neck look more human, and played with the uvw map & texture. It isn't animated properly, but it could be fixed the same way, I guess. I'd probably want to make large, medium & small versions of both male & female. Then they could all be animation fixed at the same time.

  15. hey, I was looking at that Tusken model that you fixed animations on. I tried to open it with gmax (after making an ascii with mdlops), but I got an error, and it wouldn't open. I was going to try changing the neck & uvw map, but instead I had to work on an older (pre-animation fix) model. Can you think of any reason it wouldn't re-compile an ascii?

     

    Should I make all the Small, Medium, Large Male & Female models first, then send them all to you to fix the animations?

  16. Hey, I'm back from my vacation. It was relaxing and fun at the same time :). We saw some whales, eagles, old lava beds, ancient rain forests, and the southern tip of Alaska. I took 1190 photos (thank goodness for digital cameras :lol:), so it would take a long time to tell you about the whole trip :xp:.

     

    So how have things been going for you?

  17. hey, it's been a long time. I sincerely hope that you've been well & healthy.

     

    I was wondering about your Golden Bendak Starkiller armour too. I made my own for RoR, which is similar to yours, so that it could be a continuation of your work. Since the logos are mine, all I had to do was try to approximate the colours you used. But, since you've never released yours, I was thinking of releasing mine as a K1 mod. I'll still hold off if you think you'll still release yours soon. I realize that issues in real life might be holding you back, but I'd really like to share our vision with the community.

     

    So, what do you say?

  18. hey, sorry I've been incomunicado lately. You already know about my surgery, but I also got my new computer right at the beginning of my recovery. Transferring programs, settings and files from XP to Win 7 doesn't go so smooth when you're on a pain killer induced fog :lol:. I still haven't got any of the KotOR modding tools loaded or set up. The good news, is that I've loaded (a student copy) of 3DS Max, and I've got a computer that can handle it. The down side (for modding anyway) is that it also handles Mass Effect 2 to it's highest graphics levels, and I've been playing it a lot ;).

     

    I've still got some files to e-mail you, and I'll try to get to it tonight.

    It seems to be a Boss Drexl, and has almost the exact same uvw map as the Ambiant one (but called c_bdrex01.tga). Could you check it out to see what kind of animations it has? The appearance.2da line is

  20. hey, what software do you use to capture in-game video? And what software and format did you save it for upload to youtube?

     

    I used fraps to capture the video, but it saves in an .avi format that I can't use in iMovie for my Mac. I need to find a free Win video editor so that I can add a voice over, and do a couple of transitional fades. Any suggestions?

  22. Hi there. I saw that you posted in the Getting to know each other thread. Saffron is a nice name, it reminds me of the character from Firefly.

     

    So... this is the visitor message box. It's useful for having short conversations, but it's open to all viewers. I also try not to use if for spoiler type messages (PMs are better for that). This gets used more for off topic stuff.

     

    If you post here, I won't get a message indication. It's better to click the "View Conversation" link, and post a reply in there. That way, next time I log on, I'll get a pop-up telling me I've got a message to read.

  23. Hmm, I guess it was hard for me to see all from the screenshots that you'd already used her underwear tga. Yeah, I usually use the patching and healing brushes too. If the arms in the underwear skin don't make sense, it might be because the uvw maps are different for the underwear model and the clothing model. One of the tutorials I'll do will be how I get the uvw map from NWmax into Photoshop. I'll even show how I use the maps to make things line up better when I copy and paste. I'll try to have that tutorial up by next week. There's a lot of steps, so it'll take me a while.

     

    I hope I'm not keeping you awake at night ;), right now I'm at work, and I post on my breaks. I also stay up until after midnight my time. Right now the daylight savings time is in effect, so that may be why it seems there's only 11 hrs difference.

    If you need something larger, I'll have to re-work it from scratch. The "RR" background and the white text for "Revenge of Revan" can be done nice and crisp, but the standard "Kotor" logo part will be upscaled and might get a bit blurry. I could sharpen it, but it might not work out nice. I can also re-scan it from box art.

     

    Let me know whatcha need :D

     

    Edit: oh yeah, I can also separate out the different elements depending on what you're gonna use it for.
