My second time I sent Legion to hack the doors, Garrus to lead the fire team, Jacob to be the distraction man, grunt to take the Cerberus Crew back to the ship, and took Garrus and Tali (felt it was fitting, seeing how they were the two party members I took to kill saren in ME1) to destroy the base. Miranda topped it, but then again she was the only non-loyal squaddie.

Suppose it should be the rifle only for the first planet, then you can use a mix of both for the second one, and then predominatly the carbine for the third. And the troopers sounds good.
