  1. Actually, that may help the process. If HOP is good with action scenes for him to write with a character's perspective to take advantage of his talent. When we need attention to detail, we use Mira(you). For emotion, then Yuthura (Me).

We don't need to have all the character's perspectives, so if we hate one or two important characters, we simply don't use them for first-person perspective.

  2. Liked the Disciple comment. It made me laugh... lol.

I was thinking we would divide the characters up among the three of us. If we each chose what characters we could best write for, then whenever we used that character's perspective... you would always write for Mira, Bao-dur, Exile, ect. I would always do Yuthura, Dustil, Atton, ect.

The biggest issue is that we would have to follow the plot that is planned ahead and be able to agree which character... or writer we use for each situation. In other words... messy.

  3. Odds are that you've noticed 'Return from Exile.' What did you think of the format? I was thinking that multiple first-person perspectives might be an option for KOTOR III. By having multiple perspectives, it could serve to eliminate the indiscrepencies that would come from three different authors. Opinion?

  4. Yeah... I'll have lots of... fun. Why did I get myself into this?

Appreciate the advice. I'll try not to disappoint.

Anyway, I've got to log off now. I'll try to be back at 3:00 (your time)

  5. Uh... I won't say any more. I guess I just have to find a way for her to grow as a character as the Order begins to decay around her. I intend to have the story end with Katarr and the remaining jedi going their separate ways. What happens between then is a matter of debate. Thanks.

  6. The secret involves something that the Council did to her that was like what they did to the Exile. It's a crime the Council committed. I don't want to say too much, but the secret is something that destroys her faith in the Council completely.

  7. By the way, like the new avatar... although not as much as the last.

I've been having difficulty on my own story as well. I really can't complain seeing as you've got a lot more in progress, yourself. But as I get to a point where Yuthura and the Council are about to clash again... I really don't know how to proceed. As soon as the Council knows that their dirty little secret was out... I don't know what would happen next. It's hard to speak about what I should do next when you haven't even gotten to that point, yourself. I didn't spill anything here, so don't worry about that. I'm starting to think my plot is breaking up.

  8. In other words.... you want me to leave you alone?

  9. I'm not complaining about the details you put in your story. I like the little gestures and wish I had that talent. I may have done it very well in the first chapter of my story, but as it progresses, I have more spoken words and fewer gestures that enrich the dialog.

  10. I've got no issues with threads. I was just teasing you... if I was irritating you, that wasn't my intent.

Anyway... you once asked me what your talent was... it's your attention to detail and ability to articulate minor gestures and actions while doing a dialog. I think it's a good thing to have. That takes talent.

  11. What do you expect when you look at the most recent replies?! What do you think we're discussing... the weather?

I'm glad to know you're reading my fic and I'm sorry you've received a spoiler, but it wasn't because of me. You have to realize that the most recent feedbacks are directly related to the story. If I could hide spoilers, I will, but you have to accept that there will be spoilers in the feedbacks... and they are in response to the most recent chapters. If you don't want a spoiler, then don't read the most recent replies. Is that unreasonable?

  12. I've not been one for characters and figurative drawing. I liked drawing machines and inorganic objects. I've wasted much time drawing cross-sections of submarines and computer layouts when I should have been more active with my studies.

I've got a program called 'poser' which can allow me to work with the human form and manipulate the model as I choose. I really dislike imperfections in my drawings and would prefer a photo over a painting if I could do it.

I'm working to perfect my skills with adobe photoshop so I can start making digital paintings. Unfortunately, I have little patience and end up sacrificing quality for time. How long do you spend on the average drawing of a character and painting it? I spend about three hours using pencil alone, but require over an hour more for the model.

  13. Going off imagination is quite impressive. Have you considered using models for your art? I had to use them for all my art... but I was going for a 'professional' look. I am terrible at drawing something from scratch.

  14. The Mira plot sounds like it would work with some tweaks.

I'm curious about something... when you are drawing, do you just go off imagination or do you use a photo? If you want to improve your drawings, try flipping the image and work off of that. It may sound odd, but in doing so, you use the right side of the brain. The right hemisphere is more acute to spatial orientation. The reason I'm telling you this is because I never truly appreciated some of the lessons I took during my art classes. This is a significant lesson that most people, including myself, don't fully appreciate.

  15. After Mira gains a reputation as a great bounty hunter...

What if, instead of bounties alone, Mira would take any job that involves spying or theft? This could open a number of other plots that aren't repetitive. If Mira could be captured at some point and have to figure out a way to escape from her captors. She may turn a guard to her cause. He may have been trapped because he was an indentured servant to his master. She offers him the chance for them to escape together... if she agreed to provide him with the credits he needed to get him and his family off Nar Shadaa. Before escaping, Mira would have to steal from the hutt who's holding her.

Are these ideas that you could use... or should I follow this advice: 'Don't call us. We'll call you."?

  16. Another plot involves Mira turning over someone, but knows that he would be used as a gladiator and ultimately die... although she wouldn't kill him, she would be a part of his death. So decides to turn an enemy against her employer... or rig the arena so he could escape death... and she walks away with a job done and her credits.

  17. These plots can't be directly mirrored, but can be tweaked to fit a bounty hunter. Here's a tweaked story.

Another plot could be the assassination of a Mandalorian. Mira intends to capture him, but realizes that he was an honorable man that didn't deserve the bounty on his head. If he talked about how the best solution for the Mandalorians was through peace, Mira's hate for Mandalorians was not as absolute as she believed. She lets him go, but stages a fake death for him to complete the job.

  18. In one episode, the crew of Serenity(name of the ship) steals medicine that's worth a fortune on the black market. When the captain discovers the medicine was desperately needed by thousands of people, he returned it, but had to face the wrath of his employer... a crime kingpin.

I'll post another plot after this message.

In my opinion, the most controversial issues are the best plot lines. Since Mira is an honorable woman, she comes up with clever solutions to problems that otherwise could have been easier and less honest. That would be what I find most enjoyable to read.

  19. So each bounty would be an individual story set one after another? Would there be character development, such as Mira killing her first victims? If she was facing the realization that the families were left without hope, she would start taking them alive.

If you could, try to find the series "firefly." It has some good episodes that you could base some chapters after. If you'd like to hear about some of them, I could tell you about the plots.

  20. I just have a number of subplots that I want to cover... Yuthura becoming a prominent figure of the Order. She would begin to spread the potentium force theory. Her desire to force change upon the Jedi and going against the High Council. Revan's memories begin to return and his feeling for her change. She has to set an example for her padawan. She witnesses events that make her question her beliefs. The nemesis that she tries to save.

This story could go on for a long time. If it reaches six full forum pages, would it detract quality from the story?

  21. If you're having a conversation with theExile, I'll stop here and let you go about your business. Thanks for your thoughts.

  22. That was my thought as well. This Sith would have a valid claim that Jedi ways didn't work. If he were destined to lead his people, but sold out by a few of them, he would say that trust was a dangerous thing. His closest allies turned against him because they were offered a reward they couldn't refuse and his people were conquered.

He would also try to turn her away from the jedi as well. "How many slaves have you freed as a jedi?" She realizes that she had forgotten about them again and seriously wonders is he's right.

This would not be the subject behind the rest of the story, but would show up now and again over a long period of time. I also would show the Jedi getting desperate as they are hunted down by the sith assassins.

  23. I was planning to have an OC. My thoughts were that the enemy was a sith from Korriban that Yuhtura coexisted with because he shared a similar history. Where Yuthura still had her goal of fighting slavery in front of her, his was gone.

Instead of fighting and craving power like Malak, he reluctantly continues to fight for the sith. I was going to have him and Yuthura meet like they were old friends and Yuthura offers him the chance to become a jedi again(he failed his task to free his people from oppression because he followed the jedi ways). He responds to the offer by saying "You speak as though I matter. I'm already dead. I'm fighting to reclaim my life."

For much of the story, she is trying to save him. She believes he's not evil, but she realized that he had to be stopped. How's that?

  24. Good afternoon. I was wondering if I could get your opinion on my Yuthura story. I was planning to introduce a 'main villain' into the plot, but I don't know what would be the best kind. I thought a tragic character would be great, but I recently saw 'The Dark Knight' and was impressed with a villain that was not driven by anything other than destruction.

I just wanted to know your thoughts on this. Should Yuthura face an enemy like herself, or one completely opposite? If you could think of another type of enemy Yuthura would face, I'd like to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks.

  25. Question: The violet twi'lek was great. What format was it done in?
