  1. Yes... what do you think? I'm always up for negative feedback.

  2. I concur. I'm going to start a new group that would be an invite only and if the ENTIRE group would like to invite a fourth or fifth... I'm going to start with some of the ideas I already have and let's see how that goes. How's that?

  3. I was thinking of how this kind of project would work.

What if we started a new group and invite whomever we deem worthy? The only issue I see would be that it's much more limited than a thread.

If I started a new thread, the problem is that anyone and everyone would also throw in their ideas. Although I like the idea of 'unlimited' ideas, establishing a thread with a dozen people is extremely difficult.

    Do you have any ideas?

  4. If you should get this before you leave, I don't intend to post anything without the input of the group. Just letting you know I won't leave anyone behind on this.

Odds are that we will have accomplished a number of things when you get back online, but I won't start a new thread without your input.

  5. What I was thinking was that a small group could try to hammer out an overall plot that would not have any finished work which would be posted. When a plot is conceived, we would have a set of objectives that we try to follow. Each one could present a different path as to how those objectives are met.

This could be like the lightside/darkside options in the games. Same plot with different stories. Same outcome with different causes.

  6. Although I would like Yuthura, odds are that a more prominent character would be the best main character. We could also choose individually how many separate storylines we would have in each version.

The format I would choose is multiple first person perspectives. This could serve to eliminate the need for a Main character. Half the story would be with the Exile's group and the second would be a collection of stories from the jedi left behind.

  7. Right... we continue this later. I agree with you completely about the large group effort!

  8. I just think it would be ironic that despite every reason the jedi had to fight the Council... in the end, they were right. Who would be at fault in all the 'Civil War' destruction? That would be a huge plot twist... like the "I'm your father" quote.

As for my YB story, I have already set in stone that Katarr would be where the story ends. When the jedi go their separate ways, she returns to Sleheyron to defeat slavery.

  9. I'm not expecting this to be a long conversation... since you usually get to sleep around 4-5 AM. I'm just throwing out ideas that may form a stable and interesting Kotor III storyline. I am interested in the idea if you and HOP are as well.

  10. This is the worst time to start discussing this! lol HOP is going to Spain tomorrow and this be more complicated if he is 'left out of the loop' until three weeks have passed.

Anyway... If we were to come up with what we believe the 'True Sith' are and set certain objectives as to how they would be defeated... we might establish a rough storyline.

For instance... What if the Council was right about the Mando wars? What if the True Sith set in motion their own destruction with a Mandalorian victory... expecting the jedi to fight them and weaken the Republic and the Mandalorians?

  11. I wasn't referring to combining all the stories we are writing... but a completely separate work. I have already had plans to end SiD a bit early and doing a Kotor III with Yuthura as one of the characters, but not the main.

Only problem would be... well there would be many complications. What if a small group would collaborate an overall storyline and we each go our separate paths to reach the conclusion? 3 independent stories with whatever format and characters we choose?

  12. I'd be interested in a joint Kotor III storyline... if you and HOP are speaking about it. Do you think that has any potential?

  13. Read your story and it's a great start. I'm flattered that I inspired that creation with the YB tale. I don't know who will become major characters and who's just there.

  14. If you do read the Council scene, the Visas/exile scene is also excellent. I favored the line '"That's what they said!" She wailed.'

This one line seems to define exactly what she was feeling at the time. She knew the Council was wrong, but she didn't know where she could go or what to do.

  15. I'm just imagining you switching between the HOP story and your profile. I was doing the same thing. lol

  16. [fic] SW: Return from Exile machievelli wrote the story. It is very old and I don't know how back it is, but it's thread 168405. if that helps.

It has the exile as a lesbian and in love with handmaiden. I hated that element, but liked how he gave great detail to the mandalorians and the echani. The Council scene is on page four if you're interested.

  17. They could even have proven that they followed the Exile for a reason... not because they were coerced. Then the Council would have to accept they were wrong about the exile and realize it was Atris all along!

Don't worry... she'll get what's coming at the end of the YB story.

  18. Have you read "return from exile"? if you haven't, I would recommend reading the Council scene. It's what inspired me to extend the Yuthura dialog. It was perfect except the Exile accepted their judgment. If you don't wanna, then don't concern yourself with it.

I guess I like controversial issues where you have sympathy for the villain and view the hero as imperfect... or even the enemy. Most people are not naturally evil... it's more like a different perspective of right and wrong.

  19. If I were there, I would have made an ultimatum... accept my help, or I will resist. They had no right!

  20. Ahh. I get it. It means you want to get to sleep right?

  21. I know what you mean. That guy on Nar shadaa that said "Here's the one with your credits!" I would have helped the guy, but because he forced his problem on the Exile... he didn't deserve the help.

Odds are that I'd be closer to the light, but because going against Vrook would mean DS points, I'd have to go against the other Masters. I wouldn't have tried to kill him, but force him to realize he's wrong. Then put him in an impossible situation where he'd have to do the jedi thing, or admit he was wrong.

I would also leave Atris to the Sith holocrons. She made her choice and I wouldn't want to interfere with it.

  22. I do like some of the advice she gives, but other than that... yes. I hated her! She detracts from the influence of the rest of the crew and you get nothing from her for that influence. She's just an old hag, but I admire how she doesn't consider death a suitable revenge. It's a far greater thing to attack an enemy's beliefs and show that they are wrong. Once dead, what have you achieved? I would rather force them to acknowledge your greatness more than anything.

  23. I guess I do like characters like Count Doku and Qui-gon Jinn because they also have reasons for not following the jedi way. Although Doku fell to the DS, I think he also did so for good reasons.

I suppose that the trilogy characters don't go into much depth as the KOTOR.

  24. I guess I like Yuthura over Juhani because I think she's been through much greater extremes in troubled past and darkside. Juhani was always a loyal jedi to Revan... She only has to be controlled once where YB is more routinely in trouble.

I guess I don't care much for any of the Sith Lords' crewmembers. I don't hate them... I just find them without a story or emotional attachments. Mira and Brianna I guess are my favorites other than the Exile. She/He also has a past that rivals Yuthura and Juhani's.

  25. Kyle Katarn, Juhani, Kavar, Zez Kae Ell, and the non-force sensatives of the Ebon hawk crew. What characters other than Bao do you favor... no I haven't forgotten the best bounty hunter in the galaxy either.
