Maybe you simply have different views to other people... some people think too much knowledge just numbs life. I think it does, if you work too much... that's why I've reached a 'balance'.

I'm not going to do something I'm not comfortable with... unless I see it as a challenge. Now, maths... I had to do that or else I'd have to redo it in college - and I wasn't prepared to do that.

I can't really imagine your voice/accent without hearing it, but I get the general gist

A lot of people my age sound like that... so maybe I can imagine it a little.

That's part of why I write so much in the Summer holidays... keeps my mind active! I'm just so happy I never have to do maths class again.

Intelligence is something that comes naturally, but if you don't do anything for months on end, which you won't be doing, then you go dumb... usually quicker the older you get. You don't have to worry about becoming dumb or anything... you're still young and work plenty. You've got a healthy mind!

I felt sorry for the poor dolphins... but they were SO clever and so talented! I wanted to take one home lol. Apparently a stage dolphin got free (I'm talking about different dolphins here), and has began teaching wild dolphins how to do all of the tricks they do on stage.

My computer was free (I know, I'm a cheapskate!) the battery is pretty good, but the speed/memory is pretty low. I've been needed more memory for a while, but parents can't afford it, so I've had to delete things to replace them. Thankfully, most of it's backed up.

Well, it'll be a challenge for you, then, won't it? though I wouldn't say I'd like to do that kind of work... lol. But I'm sure you'll come through with flying colours - you're smart like that!

And he's nice enough.. we shared a high five in the literacy test when I found out we'd both gotten an A on english and a C in maths. But still, he had the choice of 30 other seats! lol

At least I felt smart next to the person next to me. You had to capitalise the words that need capitalising in this sentence. And she thought Pennines said pennies. I told her it said pennines, but she still didn't capitalise it. Then, when I told her it needed a capital, it wouldn't let her change it

Nah, just completely invented by my own imagination. Though he DID remind me ever so slightly of a guy who I used to hang around with during my drinking days. (He's now at my college).

Nah, it wasn't difficult in the slightest. We just had to pick "what had the best punctuation" "what had the best spelling" from a choice of four clone paragraphs, etc. There was a lot of "what is a passive noun? How many passive nouns are in this sentence"... I was like... what the hell's a passive noun?!

If you looked at my broken down results, I got full marks in everything but got zero in the "passive noun" and "adverb" stuff lol. This is why I never picked English Language...

Well, I turned my computer off because I was getting REALLY tired... and decided to read. I fell asleep mid way through the first chapter lol. I woke up at 5, and fell asleep again. It was probably the best sleep I've had in ages!

It does sound a little like how it happened. I was trying to figure out how to get home, and I ran into him on the bus. We sort of just hugged and then I sat down with my other friend. How odd .

My dream consisted of walking into college and finding my apparent boyfriend (who doesn't actually exist) and I stabbed him. O_O it was very disturbing.

How many people do they expect to do community service that doesn't pay and can't go on your resume for college? Maybe they're a bit TOO idealistic in thought. Anyway, at least now you can concentrate more on college, right?

I haven't started classes yet - not until Monday. But I did a literacy test today. Though y'know the guy I told you about not seeing in 4 1/2 years? I hung around with him today (because all my other friends came in for their literacy test earlier. Went to town and had subway with him and a few other people I remember. I also got 76% on the test. (bad!)

I guess... but they could have picked a less butch girl and a less camp guy for the romances! Honestly. K1s romances were far better.

I haven't seen that comic... but Aimo is just legendary. So I bet it's awesome.

I did a literacy test today and got 76% >_> if you get below 60% you have to take an hour of English a week in college... one of my friends got 59.9%

I am quite childish when I want to be! But not in the bad way I suppose... more of the simple humour and impressions way. I guess it's sort of expected at this age... well, sometimes. Our college says "you're all adults now, blah blah"... yeah right. lol.

People often come to me for advice, and ask me about stuff I've never experienced before - and somehow I can give a reasonable answer. They wonder how I do it, too, but it's just logical, really!

I get you. I'm not sure what I want to be when I'm older anyway, so I'm sort of making progress... but in an aimless direction. I picked the four subjects which look most promising for me - Eng lit, Media, Film and Psychology. Hopefully something will come of it - but I'm not going to squander my time on JUST working.
