I'm almost done with the rough draft, but I haven't had much time to write for the past couple days. Now's the time of the year I start making Christmas presents.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I think it's turn based, but it's not nearly as tedious as the KOTOR system gets. Like I said, I'm not sure. I barely knew the difference when I played SWG. (yea, I'm a noob )

Ah, nuttin' much. Anything going on with you--besides shooting battle droids, I mean?
-
Can you run around like on kotor?
Yes, but the planets' environments are soooooooo vast, it really, truly feels like Star Wars--for example, I literally spent thirty minutes in my landspeeder to get to a quest location.
Can you do quests with other people? Can you 'travel' and have adventures with other people rather than npcs?
Yes. You can make 'crews' (thought I think they're by a different name) and do quests with them. And, of course, there are guilds with up to three hundred people in them.
Can you get snazzy outfits?
And we come to one of my favorite parts of Galaxies! There are four classes of traders in Galaxies; Domestic Goods, Munitions, Engineers, and Structures. Domestic Goods traders make clothing! Their houses are usually their shops, where they display their goods and sell them. You can e-mail them in-game, and they'll usually recolor anything you want. (Munitions traders make armor) I got some pretty good outfits in the few days I was there. (If you ever play it on Bria server, I have the name of a really great clothing trader and the coordinates of her shop)
Get your hair done?
That's where the Entertainers come in! Not only do they dance, play music, and give buffs, they can recolor and reshape your face/body! I was a Twi'lek, so I didn't get anything done with my hair , but I'm sure they can!
When I played Galaxies, I really felt like I was a padawan teaching myself to fight, preparing for my ascension to knighthood. Someone offering to become my Master and train me didn't hurt either.
SoD is the abbreviation for Scion of Darkness: Fear Leads to Anger, the roleplay I'm doing in the Dantooine Theater Company. Adavardes is one of my fellow roleplayers.

(whispers) Oh, of course it is, but I'm just agreeing with the wierd person, now shush before she hears me!

I'm fine, just got over a stomach virus. The story's coming along pretty well. I'm not quite done with the final draft yet--ran into a snag and had to start over.
Good luck with the gearheads!

Well, that makes sense. I have my own horror story about getting the trial. Okay, here I am on the home page of Star Wars: Galaxies. I've surfed the internet for the past few days, reading everything I could about it, and I've finally decided to get the trial. And now I'm ready. I hit the button. Eighteen hours later, it finishes downloading. I try to install it. It installs perfectly. I try to open it, and it comes on. I hit the 'Create Character' button, and--
Nothing happens.
Yup, something was wrong with the download! So, I set it to downloading again, just because I'm crazy. Twenty-five hours later, same thing happens. I'm fed up by now, so I finally sent a question in to the Customer Support, describing my problem. The first thing they told me to do didn't work, but then one of the people there sent me a link to a launcher that makes it a thousand times easier to download/play several MMOs (Everquest, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Star Wars Galaxies, and some others). Worked perfectly.
I swear to this day that I will NEVER download another trial from the computer! Well...at least until TOR comes out.

I just hope I can afford it. I have the time, but if it's too expensive, it's good-bye TOR!
Same with Galaxies. Right now I'm saving just 'cuz I want to play it so much! I did the trial, and it was awesome!!!!!!! (lol made a character that looks just like my heroine in the fan fic I post here. I know, very original ) You ever played Galaxies?
