Started Overlord last night. The section where you get bum-rushed by Geth in the satellite dish was fun. Added Disruptor Ammo to my Eviscerator shotgun which had the 50% shield piercing upgrade on it. I let the Geth Hunters get about 5 feet away from me and then popped out of cover and blew them to the other side of the area (I <3 rag-doll physics). I might survive this section on Insanity after all

Doing Kasumi's loyalty mission right now.
After reading that gameplay data thread from the devs, I feel like I understand the game mechanics a lot better now. Really changing the way I play. Plus on Insanity, it seems like using the right tool for the job actually matters.
Died once so far, but that's because one of Hock's grunts got lucky with a flashbang (knocked me out of cover and the YMIR killed me about 0.2 seconds later).

Got tickets to an advanced screening of Rango tonight. The kid is absolutely out of his mind over this movie, so I'm expecting to score major points over this development. Also, national sales meeting tomorrow (and Thursday. And Friday). All this equals little or no ME2 time for me tonight
Have fun without me.

Adrenaline Rush effects melee attacks?!
125 base dmg (187.5 with Research and Strength Boost Pads) = 250 (375) or 300 (450) with Heightened AR. Wowzers.
And frozen enemies take an additional 100% damage. Can't wait to shoot some Krogan with my new pistol (and Cryo Ammo).
EDIT: With Research and Strength Boost Pads and Cryo Ammo and Adrenaline Rush = 750 damage. With Heightened AR = 900 damage
With Research and Kestrel Armor and Cryo Ammo and Adrenaline Rush = 775 damage. With Heightened AR = 930 damage
Apparently, I need to start punching a lot more people.

I don't know if you caught this (I missed it the first time I played that class), but you get a damage bonus for attacks made while cloaked. Unfortunately, the off-set is that the duration is shortened, but if you combine Tactical Cloak+the time dilation that you get with Sniper Rifles (and Disruptor Ammo against techs/shields), you can line up headshots with all manner of damage bonuses behind them.

I'm starting to think that I did myself a dis-service by using a lvl 30 ME2 Shep import for my first Insanity run. Using a lvl 60 ME1 import this time and it seems significantly easier (the Omega environment plant fight that took me 3 hours to get through last time was survived by all on my first attempt).

Hehe, I did that too, but she was a brutish Orc with a short fuse and large mace. She killed things that didn't talk pretty at her. With infamy as high as hers, I don't think I need to tell you that she killed a lot of things.
Just landed at Freedom's Progress. Miri has the new pistol but Jacob and I are stuck with the swap meet version.

LMAO. I get to use my own controller right?
This new head looks good, but doesn't fit the voice as well as the last one I used (http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/4854/sexyshepardissexy.png - with the caesar cut instead of the recommended one)

My XBOX issue appears to have resolved itself while I was at work today.
My new Shepard: http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af183/Di-Duchell/Aiden.jpg
Doing another Soldier/Insanity run. Not starting with an ME2 import this time. Wanna see how much of difference that makes.

It appears that I was wrong re: the Aegis Pack sniper rifle:
"Like the Collector Assault Rifle the Incisor does not change its name designation like other weapons when upgrades are researched, according to Christina Norman this is a bug that applies to DLC, but only affects the name and performance is in fact upgraded. This is caused by an incorrectly formatted string in the DLC files."
I guess it does upgrade after all.

Don't know if this is something that you've seen before:

Kestrel is modular (i.e. helmet optional and can mix-and-match with other pieces). Pretty much been the go-to armor for the last two playthoughs. Absolutely gorgeous in black.
Also, the sniper rifle that comes in that pack is nice at lower levels, but it doesn't upgrade, so at some point it becomes quasi-useless.
