I've killed my old rig.
I guess almost 5 years is a good run. I liked the Shuttle experience, but I'm not sure I want to do it again. Parts for the new beast are on the way.
Can't wait - http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=01G-P3-1561-AR&family=GeForce%20500%20Series%20Family&sw=

"Get us out of here, Joker!" is quickly becoming the new "embrace eternity".
It was good. The previews that I read boasted of gripping moral choices, but there weren't many so far as I could see. It seems like everyone (except me) suddenly forgot that Batarians are asshats (this is pointed at all of ME2, not just this DLC). They enslave humans and destroy colonies, but wiping out their home system is a political faux pas!!??
The sound cut out on me twice (once in the prison and again on the exterior of the asteroid). During the two critical fights, the devs pasted a big ****ing something directly over the thingy I use to see how many bad guys there are which direction they are shooting me from (didn't like that very much).
All-in-all it was good. None of the post LosTB stuff that ruined that for me, but also not enough of the story from Overlord that really impressed me. Music was great. Really liked the areas.

An agnostic posits that the truth is ultimately unknowable ("I can't prove that he does exist and I can't prove that he doesn't exist, therefore both positions are equally likely"). I don't accept this position. Acknowledging a lack of evidence does not mean that it's unreasonable to expect some. That god could reveal his/her/itself in an empirical but does not means that I cannot say for certain that he/she/it does not exist, but makes it very easy for me to acknowledge that there are no good reasons to accept the argument that he/she/it does.
I understand that you're not seeing the distinction between a belief in a negative position and a lack of belief altogether, but I assure you it's there (as many people are attempting to point out)

"Well, I would consider Atheism to be a belief - it's the belief that God's absolutely do not exist."
You're forcing a perspective on non-believers that doesn't apply. I cannot prove that god doesn't exist (in fact, no one can prove a negative), but that doesn't mean that I actively hold the belief that he doesn't exist.
Yes, some atheists will tell you that they belief that god does not exist, but their opinions a) don't reflect those of all non-believers and b) are fallacious.

It would appear that the Morinth/Samara fight can be passed with ~60% of options (did it right after her Loyalty Mission became available). I had about 65% of the paragon bar full so I'm guessing that you need 60% and 60% to pass all three checks (because I couldn't get the third one with 60/50 in my last test).
The last big check to test is Tali's trial (as I know the requirements for Tali vs Legion are low). So far it seems that you can do an almost pure neutral Shep so long as you import 190 Paragon (couldn't get very much traction with a 150 import).

After quite a bit of trial and error, I think I've figured out that you need to have 60% of the available paragon points plus have the bar full to get the peaceful resolution to the Jack/Miranda fight. I'm near certain on the 60% part but not quite as confident re: how full the bar has to be (I was about 50% the last test playthough. I was less than 50% this test and it wasn't available, but then I took the last evolution of my passive feat and that bumped me up to nearly 60% and it was there).
Now I just need to figure out the Morinth/Samara fight.

It's a great book. I was re-reading it for a book club that I organize.

I am currently reading, god is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, by Christopher Hitchens. Chapter 16 is titled, "Is religion child abuse?".

Vanguard on insanity is not something I think I want to do ever again. They call it "high risk, high reward". I call it "you get to die a lot". 90% of the fights were very easy, but the other 10% made me want to start over with a different class. Trying Infiltrator on insanity now.

Vanguard Pro-tip: If you Charge when an enemy has all of the defenses down, you'll send them flying (good thing if the are near a ledge. Bad thing if you wanted to follow this up with a shotgun blast). I just discovered that if they have a little bit of defense left, they stagger back a bit (rather than fly) making it very easy to hit them with a follow up shot, point-blank (shotguns get x2 damage at close range).
