lumpyKmo
is there going to be an equivelant to the g_saberrealisticcombat 1 code that was in jk2 in JA?
SkinWalker
I was reading through this thread and thought "hmm... that NPC list would be nice to have printed and pinned to my desk for easy reference...." So I did a copy/past into a word document... then added some italics, bolds, font sizing, etc.... just to spruce it up a bit. Then it occurred to me that everyone else might want a copy... so I added the Screenshot bind and the idea of creating a config file for binds at the bottom. I haven't tested the config file, but I use one in JK2 for all my keyboard binds for force powers, taunts, aimbots, etc. (I'm kidding about the aimbot ) I don't think I can attach a .doc file, so I converted it to an Adobe PDF file. Then I put both in a Zip file. You'll need MS Word or Adobe Acrobat Viewer, but who doens't have that these days? Updated the attachment on 9/11/03! lucasforums.zip
Kurgan
Nice one Tesla. Maybe I should check the cvarlist and see what else I've been missing out on.. ; ) Great idea Skinwalker! Although if you included all your hardware info that probably wouldn't be too helpful unless people have the exact same computer as you. But the rest is useful, thanks! Update: Nevermind SW.. I read it and it looks fantastic. Great job!
Tesla
Thanks Kurgan I've guessed alot of cheats, just by typing different things i haven't really looked at the cvarlist maybe should do as well
legameboy
Does anyone know what the cvar is so that you can pick up an enemies lightsaber? I saw it in another thread, but I can't seemed to find it. It was like dlajlflist saber and that list showed somthing like g_jalgaljPickuppablekjanklag. Can someone help me out? Kurgan
Yeah, some interesting ones in there. Try this: snd "jaden_female" That will change your character's voice file (to fix it). I tried one other one "Kyle" and sure enough it worked. Some other ones to try: r_fastsky 0 r_drawsun 0 UI_thumbStickMode 0 cl_Videoquality 0 and I think it's r_credits 0 or r_drawcredits 0 or r_listcredits 0 something like that. It lists the game credits, but then the game ends, so turn them off if you dont want ot see them all... it shows spoilers though, so be warned! Thanks guys, you made this pic possible! It's Kyle with Yun's saber and his saber from MotS... Caption: "Yo.. Ahhh be bad..."
Tesla
Are those really Yun's lightsabers ? Anyways im going to compile a list of all the sabers you can change yours into
Khier
Err.............now it's getting to the point where I'm going to need a pen and paper for all these cheats . Nice job on finding them all though.
Kurgan
Are those really Yun's lightsabers ? Well, technically no. I just chose a yellow one because it was Yun's color, and the Orange one that you used in MotS. Now the handles in JK and MotS were all identical, although in the cutscene and the model used when you pick up his saber look different than the plain white handle that you use in game. Anyway.... just being nostalgic. ; ) Update: Found some new NPC SPAWNs to add to the list: Weequay2 Weequay3 Weequay4 (like the Trandoshan, the colors are random) Cultist_Saber_Strong_Throw R5D2_imp
SkinWalker
I updated my attachment above to include the new NPCs that Kurgan just mentioned. I also fixed the 3 saber instruction. It stated to use "cultist_staff," but I couldn't get that NPC to work. I tried "reborn_staff" and it worked like a charm.
ebelleudy
Tried the 3 sabers thing... seems you can use both mouse1+mouse2 attacks, depending on how you press them. While standing still, I get the dual saber throw. While moving forward, I get the staff special move. Images to come. ebelleudy
Tesla
Yes more NPCs to chop up Nice one Kurgan
BawBag™
Can anyone give me a few pointers on combining force powers? Like I seen someone mention somewhere lightning+drain. Anyhoo, Ta.
Kurgan
Well Absorb+Protect is one. You can throw your Lightsaber and toss lightning just about anytime, so try those (although Lightning will cancel Absorb or Protect if you had it on before). You can grip somebody and toss the saber at their body (just like in JK2 SP). You can Grip somebody and then Push as you release them. You can pull then stab with certain stances (check the moves menu for details). Pull then drain, stuff like that. Pull then Saber throw (when the Reborns block it with the Force) also seems to work, just like JK2. One thing I noticed with Dual Sabers, is that you can toss your saber, and then do the forward spinning Kata (butterfly?) with one saber until the other one comes back. legameboy
I asked this in the official demo thread, but no one seems to know there, so would it be ok if I asked you guys one more time what this one cvar is? The cvar allows you to pick up other lightsabers (Example: A new reborn with a saber staff dies, you can pick up his saber staff). I am pretty sure it has something like Pickuppable in it. (I know it exists beause I used it yesterday.) Also, what do I put in the console to show only the saber cvars? Because I thought I saw it in that list. I'm confused, but if you guys can help me out, tha'd be much apreciated.
Kurgan
Somebody (sorry I forget your name) gave me a hint in another thread about kicking with a single saber. Anyway, use PlayerModel Cultist_Saber (don't use any SetForceAll cheats beforehand or this will goof everything up) and you'll see that he has 4 (count 'em) FOUR stances... Fast, Medium, Strong, and a Second Yellow Stance that "looks like the Saberstaff with end turned off" (as this person told me). Now you can mess around with the moves. I discovered that attack+jump+back does a kind of "reverse Yellow DFA" type move. You can also do a forward Kata with it that's fairly cool, and this includes a Roundhouse spin-kick! Also if you hold forward and tab secondary fire rapidly (it takes timing to get it down so you don't continually just throw your saber) you can do a standing kick, just like the staff! You may also be able to do back and side kicks but I didn't have time to test. Experiment with different playermodels (just don't use the setforceall cheat, that gives you all the stances and makes it hard to cycle through them) and see what extra stances people have. You can switch to the Cultist_Saber, then switch to the Kyle playermodel and then you can make sure Kyle has the moves he does as an NPC! (Now we just need to figure out how to do the smackdowns!) Thanks to AxVegetA for discovering this! Update: It seems if you choose Kyle first, you can't get the new stances, no matter what model you switch to. Kyle_Boss also lacks saber throw (unless you cheat to give it to him) whereas regular Kyle has it.
Kurgan
New discoveries in the console: (you can check out more by using cvarlist & cmdlist in the console and use PageUp/PageDownto scroll.. note: not on the numpad, but on the regular keyboard) ). Zoom (lets you use Zoom Goggles just like in JK2 SP! Primary and Secondary Fire zoom in and out. You can't fire during this, and it has limited "battery power" I guess try "Give ammo" or "Give All" to get more. Bind this to a key and enter it again to turn off) setviewpos (might be messy, but it may be the key to using first person lightsaber) I also saw: g_FPLS " 1 " in there, but I couldn't seem to get it to change anything in game. r_Allowextensions "1" I assume this is GL extensions like somebody else was asking about. cg_draw2D "1" (you can use this to turn the HUD on or off) g_char_model <name: default is "jedi_rm"> Haven't messed with this yet. It might be your model in the cutscenes. cg_drawCrosshair "1": Yes! You can choose 1-9 to select nine different crosshairs! Or choose 0 to turn off the crosshair entirely. cg_crosshairsize "24". Just like it sounds, make the crosshair bigger or smaller. The default is 24. r_fastsky "0": Change this to 1 and you get an ugly, but less system intensive gray sky. timescale "1": Same as it was in JK2, you can use it to add slow mo or make the game hyper fast. 1 is default. cg_endcredits 1 IIRC, displays the end game credits, change it to 0 to turn it off. It contains spoilers, so watch out, and the game exits if you let the credits complete. r_fullbright "0" Prepare to be blinded... turns the lights in any room all the way up. Change to 1 to change to normal. cl_avidemo "0" Not sure what this does. Can we record single player demos?? sv_zombietime (sorry, I forget the default... what the heck is this? Death animation? Respawn time? g_corpseremovaltime "10" I assume this can be used to make bodies stay on the screen as long as you want. Might cause heavy performance hits as it gets too high. g_drawsun 0 Even with this "off" I still see what looks like the sun in the sky on Tatooine. So no idea what it "really" does. Other ones people have already posted: Undying (999 health, and max of 999 shields) Notarget (enemies avoid you) Noclip (walk through walls, hit Fire to move fast in chosen direction) g_newsabercontrolscheme 0 (changes the way the saber moves are done.. and without a list I have no idea what they are) g_saberlockrandomness "2" (how often saber locks happen)
Kurgan
Ah, the avidemo command takes a series of screenshots until you turn it off. So you could use this to take the jpegs from your screenshots folder and combine them to make an avi file (using a movie creation program like Adobe Premiere I suppose). Tesla
I've been looking thorugh the list and you can also turn on Subtitles whilst playing so when you reach a point were it triggers an audio file, subtitles will be displayed at the same point. The command for Dismemberment is g_dismemberment But it seems the demo has only certain points of dismemberment such as the arms, the code is already set to 3, but i've tried changing by entering different numbers, i gave up at 10 as i can see it won't change as Raven have obviously disabled most of the dismemberment points on the models But you can see what happens when certain things are triggered such as when a reborn turns his saber on by changing Developer 0 to Developer 1 or any number, it doesn't really matter. Commands in the cvarlist also display your current saber, color etc. I've been trying to change that so that it may be possible to have 2 Staff sabers, still unsuccesful. Kurgan those are some good commands, im going to try them out now =)
Krause
hmmm, I think I might have found something interesting. I was messing with the saber commands by typing g_saber in the console and then hitting tab to see what it comes out with. One of the thing I got was g_SaberMoreRealistic. I thought I found the dismemberment command however when you try this it tells the command is "write protected" There are some other interesting things like g_saberPickupableDroppedSabers ok, after trying this ingame this command enables you to pick up any saber of a killed enemy with the use button
Tesla
Putting in g_saber and pressing Tab as said above will display different commands, but of course the realistic command is write protected But you can change different things such as the auto aim of the saber and the dark side saber color command is in there as well The saber pickup command works as well, after killing your opponent, do you feel the need to steal his saber well if so, you'll drop yours and take his

Tesla
First off the game is not out yet, so you've obviously been playing an illegal beta version which you can't talk about here. Secondly this thread is for the Demo, and alot of the NPCs have been posted by Kurgan, and the Rancor isn't one of them and Shadowtroopers aren't in the Demo either. Wheelchairboy
I have a question about the saber commands. I am able to use the commands to change my lightsaber to the double bladed saber and the single bladed saber in game....where I have problems is changing back to two sabers. If i'm not mistaken the code is: saber single_1 saber single_1 i put these in, pressing enter each time but it never gives me my two sabers back. What am I doing wrong?
Kurgan
Try putting quotation marks around the "single_1" part. You may also need to number your sabers, like so: saber 1 "single_1" saber 2 "single_2" See?
