andydis Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 hello, just wanted to praise the demo again,,, and anybody noticed you can actually RUN up walls? kewl :-)
Prime Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 It is pretty cool, isn't it? But JA is better than the Matrix because it doesn't have 15 straight minutes of dirty dancing like they were in some stupid Nelly video...
Ocean Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 The song that plays then is around 5 minutes, not 15, Ill take you down if you mess with the M, i bet you didnt even get it :0
Avitor Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I'm with Prime on that. That scene was completely unnecessary.
Walwi Makno Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I love the Matrix, but I'm with them. It seems like that the only reason they put that scene in there was to make the film rated 'R'.
Prime Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by Ocean The song that plays then is around 5 minutes, not 15, Ill take you down if you mess with the M, i bet you didnt even get it :0 Actually, I liked Matrix Reloaded a lot. Saw it three times actually I "got it" plenty, although I had to see it twice to absorb everything the Architect was saying. I think part of my problem with that was the first time I was watching what was going on on the screens, and not really paying attention to what he was saying. In any event, I loved the chase scene, and the many-smith fight was fun. However, there was some really bad CGI in that Smith fight scene. But I guess that is what you get when you slow CGI characters with bullet time, you see every flaw. But for me all the good stuff happened after that dance thing. The first time I saw it, I was hoping the machines would hurry it up and wipe out the human race. If Nelly is the defining influence of humans at that point, we deserve to be annialated
Vsync Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Another movie people sleep is Equilbrium. You just can't deny that Gun Kata isn't cool. I waiting to see Underworld next.
Prime Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by Vsync I waiting to see Underworld next. Looks like it could be cool, or it could be aweful...sigh.
MuRaSaMuNe Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Equilibrium is a great movie, gun kata rules. The vertical wall running is a great addition to JA
B00thbe Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I have to see the matrix reloaded again to really appreciate it. I only saw it once on opening night, and i dont really remember much of it. Prime, i love your new avatar!
The Count Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by Prime it doesn't have 15 straight minutes of dirty dancing like they were in some stupid Nelly video... HAHAHHAA Thats brilliance.
Prime Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by TiBo Prime, i love your new avatar! Thanks man! What can I say, he is a childhood hero (which gives you an indication of how old I am). The funny thing is, I had used the "Prime" name online for quite a while before I clued into the connection. I had just liked the name and its meaning, as opposed to who else used it (as cool as he is)...
TIV73 Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Who is that anywhay? Looks like transformers - or am I completely wrong?
Prime Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by TIV73 Who is that anywhay? Looks like transformers - or am I completely wrong? It is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, a group of Transformers. Transformers were huge when I was young, and any male my age from North America could tell about him. It is hard to believe that this character has been around for 20 years. Transformers seems to be having a bit of a revival, as well.
StormHammer Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Okay, this thread has gone way off the topic of JA...so it's time to move house. Get your waders on, we're going Swamp fishing.

Iblis Reborn Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 transformers kicked ass! my cousin had all the toys and i used to get to play with the big huge optimus prime those were the days cant leave out thundercats and ninja turtles though! ahh memories
B00thbe Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I was a bit too young to fully apreciate transformers when it first came out, but i remember watching the Beast Wars transformers, where they turn into animals instead of cars and stuff. It was still pretty cool, but some of the last episodes were a little wierd.
BawBag™ Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Clicky Here. Go to the "Cartoons" bit on the page, and click Transformers. It'll take you to a site, which if you let it load fully, shows early Episodes and the Movie Online! Hmmm. I think it's time to grow up. EDIT: Sorry, First you have to click on "episodes" on the left hand side of the page, then do the above. You got the touch folks...
B00thbe Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 My friend had the movie, it was wicked. But i was surprised when optimus died.
TIV73 Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I knew it - Transformers, i had the toys too, but there was never a TV-Show. I knew it, I'm great
BawBag™ Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Originally posted by TIV73 but there was never a TV-Show. Excuse me? Could you repeat that? Of course there was a T.V. show.
Prime Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Originally posted by BawBag™ Excuse me? Could you repeat that? Of course there was a T.V. show. I think he means they didn't have it where he was. Which is probably the saddest thing I have ever heard. Frankly, I can't imagine childhood without Transformers! Thanks for the link too, BawBag! Memories...
Sam Fisher Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I grew up with my computer, who need Transformers?
Darth Groovy Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I got scared, for a second I thought this was another one of those rediculous poll topics, like "Yoda VS Ghandi". *wipes off sweat*
