stumpy Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 hey.. i remember something about lucasarts making updates of their classics a while ago so new players would be able to runem on new computers.. was it all something i dreamed or whatever happened to that? new exefiles with smoothingfilters and so on.?
wampa_one Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 'The Entertainment Pack' released only in the UK the early part of year. It included updated versions of Full Throttle and Sam & Max Hit the Road. They now run on XP, have a filter like the Mac ports and have a ratio corrector thingy. Grim Fandango & The Dig are also in the pack but not updated. Not sure if Lucasarts will release them in th US.
Nightcrawler187 Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 YES YES I can't wait to be playing those classic games again on my pc as well as Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max. I've been trying to get sound on them for ages!!! Well done Lucas Arts
Remi Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 Why not just play them through ScummVM? http://scummvm.org

ThunderPeel2001 Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 1) Go to http://www.scummvm.org 2) Select DOWNLOADS from the menu on the left 3) Scroll down to "Windows Installer" (presumably you have Windows?) and select it 4) Download the file 5) Feel a bit silly for having to ask
Joshi Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Originally posted by wampa_one Grim Fandango & The Dig are also in the pack but not updated. The Dig wasn't updated as such, but you now no longer have to go through installation and sound setup (which alwasy caused me problems) in order to play it, it's just a simple put CD in computer and play job, like the rest apart from grim for obvious reasons.
Nightcrawler187 Posted October 4, 2003 Posted October 4, 2003 D'oh It was Go!Zilla that was making it a problem for me
