SilentFlower
I just came here with a short conclution I reached my way to, based on own experiences with other young people in my circle of acquaintances: We are social when we yell and screams together with others, smoke and drink our brain into pieces. Needless to say, we care not social then. The youth these days are becomming unintelligible for me. What do you say?
Lemon Head
Me and my mates are social in a number of ways. Sometimes we just loiter up the local park with a frisbee...or crab-wrestling, now that's fun. We have even been known to play board games, which is probably the most disturbing part of it. Oh yes, and throwing knives at a piece of wood....perhaps i shouldn't have said that.
Gabez
Sometimes I do/say something wacky and unexpected to get people's attention, which is much quicker than edging your way into a conversation, and I think I'm probably a little eccentric anyway. At least I'm not shy. :~
ptdc
Once I'm confident enough to talk to people, I behave very, very oddly. Otherwise I'm completely non-social, not quite antisocial. :/
Bob Gnarly
Im a Social-Nomad i have hundreds of people i know and a couple close friends i can hang out with all of them but i choose to sit with a choice few. I hardley ever "hang" outside of school but other then that at school and social events im so quite its disturbing.

RicardoLuigi...
i don't get what you're really asking...but based on other people's responses... i'd have to say that i'm not exactly the epitome of social centrifuge...or popularity... or something. i have friends, though...but i don't really go out and do things with anyone. i sit here all day...lonely...in life and how to live it. oh well. Ernil
I would say I've got many friends, but the chosen few that I hang out with are not the drinkers, the screamers, etc. I play music with my band, I play computer games with my nerdy humorous friends, and I play sports with my fun loving adventurous friends. It's a blast.

Gabez
I have lots of friends but I'm too old-fashioned to go out partaying or whatever you young kids do these days. Wait, what's the point of this thread again? ;

Wow, we all completely missed the point of this thread. well, apart from me, when I say i'm working on it, I meant I'm working on making all the youth today into intelligible people, starting with Secret_Alive by teaching him how to spell 'becoming'. Only Kidding. But yeah, they are become a generation of bastards, and as one of them, i'm allowed to say that despite only being part of them in age and not mind or statistically. I'm special, I am. I'm special, I am. I second that. But, we all have to keep in mind that the people that come here and post here are ones that get their kicks from playing adventurous, tremendous, piratey computer games. Most of the drinkers and smokers don't participate in this activity. So....I guess ALOT of the "special" people may come to these forums. We're special. The complete irony of this has just made my day. I love you Neil.

Joshi
First, PTDC, I would cry for you, but I'm in the exact same situation as Sam N Max, loads of friends, hate them all. Second, Lemon Head, I don't know which dictionary you're using, but in my world, becoming is only spelt with one m and the second mistake was innocently made, anyone could miss out the 'ing'. But glad top see I made your day anyway, even if it was only valid for the second spelling mistake.
Lemon Head
Originally posted by Neil Joshi I don't know which dictionary you're using, but in my world, becoming is only spelt with one m I was actually trying to draw you're attention to the bungled HTML but it doesn't really matter. And I realise that both of these were honest mistakes, i just thought it ironic that you should make them while condemning someone elses. I wasn't trying to just insult you or anything, hell, i make a lot of them myself no offence meant
Joshi
Oh, I didn't think for a minute that you were insulting me. And yes, I did bungle up a bit of php code, but then that's not really a spelling mistake now is it (I know you didn't insult me, but i'm gonna argue this down to a stub)
Lemon Head
very well, the gauntlet has been thrown down! well, if we assume that 'correct spelling' is the form a set of characters take to produce an intended meaning, then what you were intending to do was produce the bold word becoming which consists of the following character string becoming[ /B]. Now then, as a result of missing out the slash on the last piece of code, the word was not only not in bold but also had a number of superfluous characters surrounding it. This would mean that the meaning you intended to convey was marred by the removal of one character in exactly the same way that Secret_Alive's "becomming" was marred by an additional and unintentional character. Oh that feels good
Joshi
Oh you did not just throw that gauntlet down. This time, the belt comes off! *takes a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath* For a word to have a number of extra characters around it does not deem it incorrectly spelt unless the characters are of an alphanumeric nature. As we can see, the extra b's on either side of the word becoming were seperated by [ and ]'s which aren't exactly alphabetic characters or used in any words in the english dictionary, to which I refered to before. In other words, the word becoming was surrounded by a ] and [ which aren't alphabetic characters and therefore do not deem a word incorrectly spelt unless fitted between the word in some way like beco[ming. On a further note, the characters [ and ] are commonly used to seperate characters from their host word, in this case becoming and therefore the 's are actually seperated from this word. Bam! Slap My arse and call me Charley!
