I was diging throught a stack of cd's with everything I have ever downloaded and I came across an awsome jedistarfighter model by Zymotico. I just had to get it ingame, and hey I love to share so with his permission I will be releasing this as soon as I can get some feedback from you guys to make sure it's right.021203-shot0224.jpg021203-shot0231.jpg

 

 

I'll throw up some better pics shortly. The first pic is the original model, kinda long and thin. In the second one I scale the model a little to make it a bit wider, this is the way I remember it looking in the movie ?

The skin looks way better than any of these pics, I have my texture detail set to low, my pc's kinda week. Here are some more shots, a few that will give you a general idea of the size.

I've thought about building a hyperspace ring for it, but I'm not sure if it can be made to dettach or not. Right now I'm doing a shader for the exhaust jets, the ones in EP2 were a yellow orange I've already made a custom laser for it( just guesing cuz obi never fired his) anyway, here are the pics.

Just wanted to say I love this thing, I've set up the VEH file so it should be great in fighter to fighter dog fights, and it handels beautifully.

That starfighter by Zymotico there is actually the same one I was planning on converting to a vehicle for JA. That model actually has a very awesome skin. It looks like the screenshots were taken at a very very low resolution, just look at the background. Even the x-wing looks awful in those pics.

in Galatic Battle grounds it shoots big blue lazers, but that game's not that accurate.

 

in Rebel Strike it shoots red lazers, but yeah, what ever you want.

 

you going to make new cross hairs and hud? I helped Manquesa with his Duality Sith Terminator's hud and cross hairs, however he put them in game. Anyway I could help you there

I'got the exhaust effects worked out, and right now it shoots a heavily modified version of the atst laser. I sped it up to match the x-wings lasers changed the sounds and made it a red laser instead of the atst's orangish one. when I get up tomorrow I'll look into the R4 unit being animated like the x-wing's is.

New HUD's would definetly be a nice touch, and any help would be much apreciated.

 

What I really need is someone who has done a lot of ingame flying to test it, give me some feedback on how it should handle.

To prevent any clutter of requests to test this I will use the first three volenteers.

And Zymatico if you read this and would like to model the hyperspace ring that would be really cool, if not I'll do it.

I personally have no plans to model the hyperspace ring. I think it might look funny flying around with it, but you are free to make it if you want.

 

I have a blue-greenish version of the JSF skin that I never released. Perhaps if you want it, you can make red/blue team versions of the fighter. Contact me if you want it.

I tried bolting the R2 unit but the ship just isn't big enough to hide the R2's body I 'll see if I can surff off the body and just leave the R2's head, if not I may have to make an R4 just for this. But I definetly want a R unit there beebing and chirping. I'll release two versions one with hyperspacering and one without, that way you guys can be playing with this sooner.

RaSiN_HeCk, if you want to do the crosshair and HUd display go ahead.
