James Isaac
There are too many popups and stuff on these forums. Especially in the SCUMM Hacking section. When I go in, I am swamped with about 4 "Do you want to run and install" things, some from the "Gator Corporation" Please can you stop the pop ups and do a banner instead? Becuase they are really annoying.

Acrylic
I use mozilla firebird ( a browser) and it blocks pop ups, and if you want, it can block banners at your choosing.
swphreak
If you would like to pay to visit LF, I'm sure they could get rid of the pop-ups.
Joshi
Have you seen lately how big these forums are alone. Takes a lot of (virtual) web space to keep this up as well as the 40+ webpages hosted free and in order for such webspace, one would need a large domain which requires money. And how do they get their money, by letting people like UGO.com advertise here, and pay them money so they can keep this place alive. So if you know a way that these jobless rejects gods of the earth can keep this place alive without resorting to a paid membership, I'd like to hear it. James Isaac
OK. But the spyware popups are really annoying. Once I was typing a message, and just as I was pressing enter to make a new line, one appeared, so i installed something by accident I would prefer banners... Surfnshannon
I have a firewall so I don't get the ads. These days you can't live without a popup killer and a firewall.
