Samus
Sounds like there could be a problem with the CD or CD-ROM. Have you tried reinstalling? (Rarely helps, but worth a shot.)

Anyway my game now starts up perfectly every time.
Surfnshannon
There will be no talk of this.... We don't support this kind of thing. You must buy the game. This a great game - it is worth the money. Trust us.
Jaden X
It's because of your video card probably. I had the same problem and I think it's because my Intel 82845G Graphics Controller doesn't have OpenGL 1.4, only the 1.3 because Intel didn't make an Updated that gives OpenGL 1.4 to that video card. And STTCT, don't blame him because of that. In some places you can't find retail versions anywhere, and if you find, it costs like twice as much money as in the USA. The shop managers travel to buy a retail version, and then they burn many copies to sell. The law doesn't do anything about it because it's so common that if they had to send every shop manager that sells burned copies, they would have to arrest 99% of all shop managers in the country. I prefer the retail version because of warranty and such. The biggest part of my games are Retail versions I bought when I traveled to the USA. But today money is getting shorter and I can't travel anymore, and if I want a game, I must buy the burned version/download on a website. Not all countries are like the USA or Canada. I know the answer to his problem, but I'll tell it only when you or someone else give me the permission to do this. BTW, I'm experiencing some problems, too. Not this problem though. txa1265
Jaden-X (and kio82) - boo hoo! If you stole it, then f*ck off and go away - we'll gladly help you get it working, but why should we encourage stealing a game we love (and for some, from two companies who have made many games we love) If you can't afford it - remember that games are a diversion, not a necessity. If you can't find a store - get it online. If it isn't in your area - wait for it. Sorry - I have no tolerance for pirates. Mike

Jaden X
Wait? If you don't know, I first saw Jedi Outcast retail version a month ago. How much time should I wait for this game? A year or two? Sure it's easy to say this when you have a VERY large diversity of games in any Best Buy store near your house. Online Stores? Oh, yes. Most of them are stores' websites. I know only one that isn't from a store, but it's the almost the same. If you don't know, Online Stores other than stores' websites sell burned copies of the game, too. Why don't they sell retail versions? Because they wouldn't sell any. The biggest part of the population can't afford to buy retail versions. Gladly I'm not on this part of the population, but I still can't find one ANYWHERE. If I find one, I costs twice as much, And I'm not in that situacion, too. Games are diversion, I know. But I want to have fun, too. Plus I have a mother that ruins my hair because she was trying to save R$12.00 (approx. US$4.00). It's her "mania". She doesn't let me buy retail versions here (She acts like if my money was hers, and dad agrees with her). Do you think I want to live in this place when I pass University? Nope. Some Universities here are really good. I heard of a guy who passed the ITA (Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica), one of the bests Engineering Universities here, and now works in the Netherlands, receiving like US$20,000.00 a month. I don't want to work here not because I don't like my country, but the conditions are really poor and you don't get the payment you deserve. And you don't know how hard is to get a job here. I'm not arguing to anyone, I'm just telling my conditions. And I didn't steal the game from anyone. BTW txa1265, apologies accepted.
