Samuel Dravis
So, does anyone on LF use alternative shells for Windows (ie LiteStep, ge0shell, Outsider)? I use LiteStep with the Austerity theme, with a few modifications that I put in. Here's a pic (for those forumers that don't know what it looks like): What's nice about these other shells is that they are fully customizable - menus, graphics, text, everything. They replace the start menu, taskbar, desktop, and popups on the desktop. A site on several shells - Shellfront
Acrylic
I used to use LiteStep, but it slowed down my compie for some reason. I got a 3 Ghz processor. It shouldnt do that...Maybe a lil help, and maybe I'll start using it again.

I'm sure with a little work, you could get LiteStep to do a pretty convincing job. EDIT: Eh? Does this look like it?

leXX
http://www.themexp.org/ I just use StyleXP, but with it you can change the visual style, boot screen, logon etc, so it's as good as a shell change.
