Space Exp. Wish List

Well, I've been thinking about the Space Expansion, and this is what I think should be included in it:

 

  • Ability to fly fighters, freighters, capital ships, transports, ect.
  • 2-3 or so new professions, being pilot, gunner, and a hybrid of the two captain (or something like that).
  • At least 1 new planet (hopefully Mon Calamari).
  • The space station in the Talus system to be accessible.
  • Ability to build space stations similar to houses.
  • Starship crafting disciplines.
  • Factions actually have the abillity to DO something to the opposing faction (take over bases, cities, ect.).
  • Smugler's gain the ability to actually do what they were meant to do (smuggle stuff past imp/reb/opposing guild/whoever checkpoints) and an addition of a smuggler mission terminal.
  • Starship docking bays, as simply storing them wouldn't look right.
  • Ability to see the interior of your ship, instead of just mounting and flying away.
  • Ability to, if your ship is large enough, declare residence in it.
  • Longer hyperdrive flights, with buyable minigames such as holochess.

 

Anything else anyone wants to add?

Please do not let any one build a space station as a house. There are to many houses now scatter throughout the planets, Let people create them same as a city fine, just make sure people live in them. I will hate to see space be full of stations that seem abandon like the player cities. You know the ones with the cantinas and med centers that are always empty. If your going to have a residence live in it. Sorry for the city rant but I hate seeing a lot of useless houses and vendors in this game.

Ok, forget the station idea... however it would be cool if you could build harvesteres on asteroids...

 

Not that that'll ever happen...

I would love to see the following planets added to the SWG universe:

Dagobah - Possible Yoda Themepark?

Hoth - Harsh environment tougher than Endor or Yavin 4

Coruscant - This would be quite a challenge to the Devs (I think)

Mon Calamari - Although if they didn't give us the Gungan underwater world, what good would this world be?

Jabba's homeworld (Nar Halla?) - cant remember the name but adding this could also be a way for them to create a third major faction (Hutt)

 

Others on wish list:

Re-position movie NPCs and re-do Themeparks.

 

Other than that, I cant wait for the expansion

I would like to see the weather harsh planets to have some negative effects to your ham if you are not wearing the proper clothing. Like on Hoth, you should have to wear coats and cold weather gloves. Tat would get you if you were wearing your armor for long period of time. That would make the taylor profession a little more important. As for Coruscant, challange the devs.

And technically, Boba Fett doesn't work for the Empire right now. The only reason he did in the first place was because he already wanted Han to collect Jabba's bounty.

 

Also I must point out that the second Death Star either isn't under construction right now, or the construction has just started and it's not much bigger than a star destroyer. So it would be useless to be put in the game.

 

What I'd like to see is the space station in the Tralus system to be accessible. And I hope they do twitch flying controls, and dump rpg style controls, flying ect. I'll hate it if the Sace Exp. is rpg based.

If the Space Expansion doesn't use a joystick and instead uses that rpg controls I will never nerver ever get it. If they use better contols than now I'll get it.

 

All those ships will be great to have. Almost all of those ships are in X-wing vs Tie Fighter. Except it needs :missile: and :tied: and the normal tie advance.(not vader's) For rebels they need to have all their ships. I know it doesn't fit in with the time, but i have no clue when they were built.

 

I hope they have space professions as long as when your shot clearly hits the target it doesn't say miss. Make it so each tree lets you use different kinds of ships.(ex. fighter, bomer,) Oh and control a fleet or join a fleet. It will be like:vsd::tied::missile: vs :x-wing::bwing::awing:

 

 

Boba Fett is a bounty hunter not an imperial. They just pay more. I think :slave: is only for Boba.

It may be that you steer the craft either with a mouse or joystick, but wether you hit the target or not is totally up to the system to decide.

 

The Tie Defender and B-Wing was not finished developed until atleast 3 years from the current time period we are playing in.

That would be around the Battle of Hoth.

 

The Missileboat I am unsure when was finished developed, but I seem to recall it was around the same time as the Tie Defender.

 

The Tie Interceptor is basically finished developed and has gone into production.

 

The Tie-Advanced could be just around the corner, and so may the A-Wing, so I see nothing majorly wrong with putting these 2 fighter crafts in the game.

 

As for the Firespray, as it is an aging design not produced anymore, I would think this ship would be hard to come by.

WOW, I'd love to see all those ships in the Expansion, I hope it'll be the same control system(or something similar,) as X-Wing Alliance, and the other Star Wars pilot sim games... IHOPE you can walk around the inside of your ship, and people have to sit down when going to Hyperspace.... wait, no that'd be problematic... But I like a lot of the ideas I'm seeing, Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda(as I stated in anthoer post, somewhere...),Kashyyk, Centerpoint station, Coruscant(though that'd probably be too hard...) just too much to think of, you know?

No posts in here for a while, but I feel I need to get this out :

Now, looking at the combat/rpg system we have right now (which I cannot even use words to depict my distaste of :D), as players need to randomly kill animals to gain exp so that they might learn to deal more damage/have better accuracy with weaponary, what do the devs expect us to do in order to have 'higher' accuracy in dogfights. "50 EXP PER ASTEROID YOU FIND!!! 1,000,000 EXP NEEDED FOR MASTER PILOT :D"
