Jackel
Originally posted by Cabwi Desco no youre missing the whole point there IS NO FOLDER TO EXTRACT FROM!!!!! no actually you are , you download a RAR file , you extract it with winrar like you would a zip file and winzip , then you put THOSE files in to your override folder im guessing you have never come across a RAR file before ? am i correct in assuming this ? filename.rar is a rar file , filename.zip is a zip file
Cabwi Desco
umm go though the steps on extracting the stuff i have no option to when i right click it wait what is winrar? i dont sem to have it on my comp
Jackel
winrar : http://www.rarlab.com/ go to the download section and download the one for you , the have quite a few localised versions , ie Korean , Italian etc etc download the file to somewhere on your computer , desktop or a download folder if you have one where oyu download everything to run the file so that you get the install wizard on your screen and install like a normal program once it is installed you can right click on rar files (and zip files aswell) and select several options for extracting the file like with winzip , "extract to .." "extract here" , "extract to filename" etc all your .rar files will now have a new icon for them that looks like three books on top of each other hope that helps , any questions just ask
T7nowhere
Ok im thinking I should just pack it as a zip I guess .rar isn't as widely known as I thought. I like rar because the files are smaller than zip.
Jackel
T7: what about a self extracting exe that you can choose where to stick the files , putting "put these in your override folder" in the spot where people can select their override folder

tk102
A couple of tools recently released. KotorTLK - GUI Search/Edit tool for the dialog.tlk file KTLK - A command line search tool for dialog.tlk DLGSearch - A command line tool for searching through dlg files for specific resref entries. Also, please note the URL for KSE has changed. I've added some installation scripting for it, so it is no longer a zip file. You can download KSE directly from here. Bat22
I've placed the spells.2da file inside the Override folder but the game refuses to start up while it's there. I guess I need a 2DA Compiler or such tool but I'm pretty clueless as to which one I should get or how to install it. Help, please?
Jackel
Bat : the 2da file should work right off the bat (pun not intended) just drop it in and load , does it give an error or something telling you why it wont load ?
Bat22
I see now. I saved it in the folder but it was as a text file. I just deleted the "txt" extension and it became a program file. When it didn't work at first, I thought I needed to download an additional program to activate it or something when I simply needed to give it another try. Thanks for keeping me in the right direction.

Prime
Hopefully this will get added to the list in the first post at some point, but... I figured I'd post my mods here as well. I have a new set of Jedi Robes, one brownish and one dark. They come with special abilities and can be found in the game at certain points. They can also be used to replace existing robes. My other mod is for changing lightsaber blade colours. It is just all the extracted textures for each blade. You can create new colours by editing these textures. These mods can be found here.
