Okay...If any of you have purchased the recent PCGamer you've seen the same pick I have...you remember that 2 page panoranmic with about 4 billion men clashing on it...

I thought Shogun: Total War had also of men on it...but this is just insane...

I have no idea how I'm going to control all those units, but I do know this, it's gonna be crazy fun tryin. The thing that kind of hit me...is eventually...computer games are going to be able to do this with other wars...like World War II where any number of battles involved miles and miles of terrain and million and millions of men in all different sorts of roles. That kind of depth has only been represented in unit boxes on hexagonal battlefields up till now...but a WW2: Total War? My imagination really can't handle it.

sry, mindless ramblings of an awestruck gamer. lol.

Based on my limited experience with Shogun: Total War, this screenshot isn't all that impressive. I thought you could control that many units in Shogun, and it is a fairly old game by now.

that shot was pretty nice, and your right fergie, if they start to use the MASSIVE program for games, it could support battles for hundreds of thousands of troops.

well...I didn't find the 2 page panoramic anywhere on the internet...*shrug*

That one...it just blew my mind...even if you don't want to buy the mag, I'd take a look at that shot they have in PCGamer...the entire shot is just FILLED with men...so amazing...the screenie I grabbed was just kinda for refrence...sry if there was any mixup there.
