Microsoft pulls out of publishing agreement for Psychonauts

Does anyone want Microsoft to publish Psychonauts anyway?

They were the ones who introduced "please reboot PC" to game installations, afaik.

I don't have any favorite publisher, but 2xFine's games shouldn't have any trouble finding a decent one.

Best as in ??

Certainly not in variety or quality of games - or are you just trotting out the specmanship argument that the Xbox is the most powerful therefore it must be the best? There is more to a good console than cpu speed.

I considered buying the Box but frankly these type of arguements put me right off, plus it's only recently getting a half decent games catalogue.

Frankly the xbox has been a disaster for Microsoft - their last quater results showed they are losing $100 on every Box they ship - no other Company but MS could sustain those losses. They have also warned their suppliers to cut production of components this year and Nvidea are trying to pull out of their agreement with MS to supply the graphics chipset.

Roll on PS3 :)

simian, I think it is true that xbox does not have the best variety of games...ps2 definitely has that diversity....but I personally think that Psychonauts would best fit Xbox. I do think it does probably has power....gamecube locks up all the time, I put that at bottom....

But truly Dreamcast will always be at heart......even though the sega bastards aren't making Shenmue III.

that's not the end of the world. if microsoft is dumb enough to give probably such an awesome game to another company it's their own fault. as long as the work on psychonauts can be continued without any troubles and double fine finds another publisher, who's queer enough to invest high amounts of money (hopefully for promotion ;) ) into this awesome game microsoft can do whatever they want.

incorporating tim's great reputation he earned for the high quality of his previous games i don't see much troubles in finding a new publisher.

but the publishers will have a lot of problems: only one of them can "have" double fine... :D
