LukeKatarn Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Actualy here in the USA in certian states/citys demos in stores have time limits.
Gukkjo Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Well It could have a time limit seeing as how this game can have time limits. Maybe it's a battle with a 15 minute time limit. After 15 minutes, your battle ends. Easy enough.
dark jedi 8 Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 i think it'd be endor. but that'd be cool if they gave an option or 2 forces and 2 planets. the more the better. plus, this is coming out in september, i wonder how long it will take for the game to follow.
lukeiamyourdad Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 Why advantage the X-box then? Would this be another one of Bill Gates dirty tricks?! Oh wait I'm running on Windows...damn it!
dark jedi 8 Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 well its easy to download a demo for the computer online so lucasarts probably figured to package a demo w/the trilogy for the console versions. maybe they figure the xbox is going to sell more copies since the PS2 is obsolete? that or microsoft payed them alot of money to put an xbox demo on their.
Sounds Risky Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 It's being referred to as a preview, not a demo.
tFighterPilot Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 oh no! I don't care! I don't have an X-Box:D
eastcoast2895 Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 check it, looks like gamespot read our post and wrote an article http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/04/12/news_6093396.html
tFighterPilot Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Wow, they said the exact same things that were said here, and added nothing new Star Wars: Battlefront is slated to ship in September. Developed by Pandemic Studios, it will have a staggered release schedule. As a result, the PC version will come out September 4, followed two weeks later by the PlayStation 2 edition. The Xbox iteration will follow the PS2's release by one week. Check out GameSpot's preview for more on the game. YEY!
Gukkjo Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hooray for PC version coming out on Sept. 4! But anyway, that explains why it's xbox only, because the xbox version is last to be released.
eastcoast2895 Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 wow totally missed the release date thing, looks like they have slight lean towards pc than other systems for once.
lukeiamyourdad Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 *Laughs at all the people who are going to buy it for console*
dark jedi 8 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 at least we got KOTOR a good 6 months before the pc did. 3 weeks aint much of a wait.

Fleab Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Yeah but now it really does make sense about the demo for xbox only. I'm getting it for ps2 since I don't have a xbox and my computer isn't very well up to date. I can wait:D

Gukkjo Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Originally posted by Sounds Risky It's not a demo, it's a preview. where did that come from? no one has been posting about that for awhile. Which is kind of sillly, because that's what this topic is about, but still, the conversation was making fun of PS2 users
lukeiamyourdad Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 That's why the invented the ''quote'' button.
Sounds Risky Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 With it only three posts up it wouldn't really be needed. But . . . I suppose I was wrong.
