Written by Gil Gribb, Ste Cork, James Monroe, Mike Crowns -------- C:\Base\models\players\frau\wars.car -------- ( Build trigger: "c:\base\models\players\frau\wars.glm" missing ) entering c:\base\models\players\frau\wars.car (90 degree skewing OFF) Loading GLA "humanoid/humanoid.gla"...21376 frames Grabbed 1 files with 21376 frames Processing 'c:/base/models/players/frau/model.xsi' Unable to find bone "rfemurX" referenced in this mesh ( Press any Key ... ) What does this mean ? |_Stiller_| Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 xsi export-options Skeletons: convert bones to nulls << i got the same err if i set it to "export bones as geometry" Stiller
-]Holoman[- Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 Hey Thx .. but now I become a new error : Carcass (GLA/GLM compiler) v2.1. © Raven Software 1998-2003. Written by Gil Gribb, Ste Cork, James Monroe, Mike Crowns -------- C:\Base\models\players\frau\wars.car -------- ( Build trigger: "c:\base\models\players\frau\wars.glm" missing ) entering c:\base\models\players\frau\wars.car (90 degree skewing OFF) Loading GLA "humanoid/humanoid.gla"...21376 frames Grabbed 1 files with 21376 frames Processing 'c:/base/models/players/frau/model.xsi' Processing meshes, LOD 0 Bone "lfemur" not found Bone "ltarsal" not found Bone "rfemur" not found Bone "rtarsal" not found ( Press any Key ... ) But I used all bones ?
|_Stiller_| Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 so you added the path to clone the bone indexes from _humanoid.gla Bone "lfemur" not found Bone "ltarsal" not found Bone "rfemur" not found Bone "rtarsal" not found i think it means that this bones arent in the _humanoid.gla so the bone-names youre used re wrong. €dit dl the skeletons in Tutorials/JKIII Faq here: http://www3.sympatico.ca/psykopat/ and look for the right names. Stiller
Duncan_10158 Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Are you using the _humanoid.gla from Jedi Academy and the skeleton from Jedi Outcast?
-]Holoman[- Posted April 19, 2004 Author Posted April 19, 2004 Right But never mind .. all works ^^ I´ve got it ... Thx for help @ all
-]Holoman[- Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 Hmm .. so far so good... But with my secound model I´ve this problem ( see the legs ) and Can someone help ?
Psyk0Sith Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Most likely another reset xform issue. When i'm done with the modelling, i always attach everything togethter (once i mirror limbs to the other side). Then i align the model's pivot point to the stupid triangle_off, and finish with the reset xform modifier...that takes care of these damn pivot point errors. Also check the bone's envelopes to make sure they are correctly overlapping the bone, sometimes it will be moved out of place and produce weird results. To fix this you have to delete the bone from the skin modifier and re-weight it. Or it could be something totally unrelated.
-]Holoman[- Posted April 28, 2004 Author Posted April 28, 2004 Ah yes you´re right .. The bone is to long .. I´ll be weight it anytime
-]Holoman[- Posted May 16, 2004 Author Posted May 16, 2004 Hmm .. all work´s good but now It comes this error ? Carcass (GLA/GLM compiler) v2.1. © Raven Software 1998-2003. TripleM25 Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 I am also getting an error. It says: Build Failed Process returned error:1 ("c:tools\tools\carcass.exe -silent C:\gamez\jo\models\players\mymodel.car

TripleM25 Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 I had alot of problems with it, but after talking w/ someone about it, they said it would be okay, that it doesn't have to actually be in your base folder.
darthviper107 Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 check your preferences and make sure that your base directory is blank.(Where it says Quake 3 base directory)

I don't know, I tried to put it in a different named folder and it gave me problems.
TripleM25 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 ok, I'm getting the same error, but now carcass is actually launching, unlike befire. Folder dir. set up(quake3dir: c:base/models/players/_humanoid/). It is saying that bones, like rtarsal and ltarsal are not found. I know it is not my xsi file, as I am using one from jk3, which was recently released.
keshire Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 The base XSI have been tinkered with after the game was released. So thier a mix between JA and JO. Its strange for sure. Most of them have the hang bone fix but still have some of the old bones wieghted.
darthviper107 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Sounds like you are using the wrong _humanoid.gla.
-]Holoman[- Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 hrhr Do you use the _humanoid.glm by an Vehilce ?
