The Trojan war is greek mythology.

 

the gods are an essential part of the story becaue they are the reason the war starts, and how it ends. They also play key points in the war. By taking them out is like taking out a huge chunk of the story.

Normally, I wouldn't do something like that, but you made such a big deal out of it. sadly, fangirls are portrayed badly by the insane ones... you know, the ones who go and scream and go off about these guys as you have said... I happen to know several who wouldn't dream of doing that.

and yes, I agree, Sean Bean is a better actor... the reason Orlando's image sells better than Sean's is because Orlando's a young guy, (early to mid 20s) many girls consider him 'reachable'... in other words, they'd like to meet him and make him fall in love with them

 

then, there's the realistic types, (like me) who realize that we don't stand a chance at that, regardless of how hot we are (no, i'm not posting pictures:p )

makes everything incredibly stupid..there are a lot of greek fighting troy (in the old greece loyalty was very important, agamemnon was in trouble and the other kingzorz remained loyal) and he can just get away, how stupid.

in theory it sounds great, sean bean rocks, brad pitt is actually a good actor, all looks great in theory.

 

However, having seen 2 trailers now it has left me pretty cold. maybe they are just bad trailers. maybe i have become a bit bored of and less easily impressed by "huge computer generated armies" after seeing them in the last 20 big movies. Looks like gladiator meets ROTK... which could be cool, or could be a poor imitation. hard to say yet.
