jedi_5002
I forgot to respond to a couple of other posts, but I don't feel like editing my previous post. Then again without the weapons switch hot keys it would have been a royal pain constantly equipping and un-equipping our party's weapons all the time. The reason I blamed the X-Box (and indirectly Micro$oft, because they make the X-Box) is because there are limited buttons on it and limited ways you can put them together. On a keyboard there are 101 keys you can map things to. 665 if you take out both sets of Ctrl, Shift and Alt keys and put them into every combination with the rest of the keys. Now that I think about it more, PC KotOR and X-Box KotOR are two different things. They could add some PC only (not PC and X-Box Live! only (Yavin)) content with this (holsterable weapons). I now see what YOU mean and agree. They got lazy. OR LucasArts said they couldn't put it in. They can have Obsidian put it in KotOR:TSL and call it a new feature to make it seem better than the first. OR I am just thinking a little too cynically. --- at the exchange between FiEND and kome and RedHawke a while back on page 1.

Thank you as well. Originally posted by Darth Dex lol, once Darth333 sees, this theard she's going to lock it she hates it when people, get WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY off-topic. To steer it (somewhat(?)) back in the direction of the topic... 1) Unable to make full new models (i.e. with animations) or new map models (this is a biggie for me (and everyone else, I'm sure)) 2) No neutral, but more toward LS, ending... 2) No neutral, but more toward NS, ending... 3) No neutral, but more toward DS, ending... 5) NO MOD SUPPORT (this isn't so big, because of talented individuals such as Fred Tetra, TK102, Darth333, etc., but still...) Also an anti-topic thing: Some people have some problems, with the LS and/or DS endings, but I think they are good. Why? The LS ending is like ANH's Throne Room awards ceremony, but not exactly like it. It fits well. Also, they can't have more troops there throwing confetti , and clapping, because they are all out fighting the Sith (though I suppose they could get extras ). Remember, destroying the Star Forge doesn't wipe out the Sith, it just puts a stop to their continuing to build ships. As in ANH, destroying the Death Star, didn't destroy the Empire, just put a stop to their destroying planets. It feels like I did something good and now get the praise of everyone (and Bastila ). No gripes here at all. The DS ending is typical of what the Sith would do, going out to conquer the galaxy. Not anti-topic: The only gripe I have with the DS ending is that the in-game cutscene has to few troops at your little (and it really was little) rally. I know they can only have maps so big, but they could have made it an out-of-game movie (and an in-game movie out of the first one (when you learn who you are)). That way they could have had many more troops, and made it a large rally. This would be in keeping with the Sith having a big ego problem, and needing a lot of troops to praise them and make them feel important. This is my 25 cents. At the same time, I did slaughter everything Malak threw against me on the Forge. So I guess I can understand the lack of survivors for meat bag praise. Agree with you about the LS ending as well. It felt completely Star Wars, so I was happy with it. The most common reason I hear/read for people not liking it, is they "wanted to continue" their game. What else is their really left to do, 'ya know? People..

jedi_5002
This is a tad long, but it is really just the quotes, so you can get through it. I never thought of it like that. There are still lots of Sith, but they aren't in the vicinity of the Star Forge, so small croud. Agree. 2) What else? Play KotOR:TSL Originally posted by RedHawke ^^^^ Why go back and wander the galaxy aimlessly for centuries honing their l33t Jedi skillz! And then getting to become hermits on Tatooine! This wouldn't work as: 1) It is not that kind of game (there should be that type of game (Star Wars meets Freelancer or some such)) 2) The level 20 cap (21 really, but you can never attain it) prevents you from honing your "1337 skillz." *shudder* (I don't like "1337 5p34k" *shudders again* it takes longer to type (sometimes) than normally even though it is supposed to be faster) Not Tatooine, though... I can see it now... (one version at any rate (not long like my Bastila one)) PC: This is a game. I have reached level 100. Now, as a reward, we will leave the rest of the group and go live out on the farthest reaches of the Outer Rim. We will of course ditch the rest of the group. Bastila: So I will have you all to myself, with no interruptions? PC: *VERY happy by this news* Yes. Ehh... Bastila: What is it now? PC: Well, we will have to come back for KotOR:TSL. Bastila: KotOR:TSL? PC: Yes. Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords? The sequel to this game, Knights of the Old Republic. Don't worry, that isn't for five game years Bastila: Game years? PC: This is a game. Five years will have passed here, but only a couple in the real world. The game is slated to come out Winter 2004, so it can get several Game of the Year 2004 awards. The PC version of the game got several Game of the Year 2003 awards, when it came out. Anyways, let's get going. You can drive. I want to check and post some stuff on Holowan Labs. Bastila: Whatever, let's go.

Even if you don't want them to. I refused to type in l33t I always typed everything out normally... then get harassed for doing it... it was so cool! HUh? that's the fun part in an rpg: story and character development. I would love to have more of these dialogues. I could play the game very quickly if I want but I prefer to take all my time to explore and talk to everyone.

RedHawke
^^^^ No everyone isn't against you, they just are going MTV2 seriously, the whole talking to NPC's is the heart of Role Playing Games, it can't be "annoying" for that is what the game is all about, as Mono said above; Originally By Mono_Giganto Yeah that pretty much spells out Role Playing. (The RP in RPG ) Skillful, dexterous, and mind numbing reflexive fighting is what First-Person Shooters are all about.
