Xirion Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 just could be so! It has the star we have craved over for years in it! Could it finally bring a belivable SW universe to life? and actually put the Wars back in Star wars?
VanLingo Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 That's the million-dollar question, friend. It's all about balance. That will tip the scales one way or the other with a game as large-scale as this.
Xirion Posted May 18, 2004 Author Posted May 18, 2004 indeed Mr lingo we have wanted big battles we have wanted to be in them and let us hope this brings it many games have promised but failed to deliver
Lt. Havoc Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 we shall see. SW games have never covered this ground from this angle. To be a ordinary soldier in the epic battles was overlooked for so long. So many aspects to the SW universe its hard to fit it all in cohesively. We've had flight sims, played as jedi, been battle planners and role-played but to fight as teams and not in a deathmatch mode will be great. Not to mention th fact that they're covering all the films. I think the recipe for the ulitmate Star Wars game would be a tablespoon of "Xwing Alliance" (did anyone play that here? It was the best of the great flight sims and being able to easily make your own battles was perfect for lan parties). A cup of Jedi Knight 1-3 (the whole Dark Forces saga was fun but the manuevers in Jedi Academy are awesome). A pinch of SW Galaxies. Finally 1 and 1/3 cup of Battlefront. To have all that flexibilty and be able to play as jedi, clonetrooper, ewok, wookie, TIE pilot and so would be great. Also if they let you choose weapn load outs for your player would be nice too. For instance if you're a stormtrooper you have the choices of 1 of the following primary weapons, Blaster rifle, rocket launcher or sniper rifle. Each character would have 3 appropriate choices or slight variations. A wookie smuggler as an engineer or a medic or a saboteur. Understand? I know I'm dreaming about all that.
Eagle Warrior Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 swbattlefornt will be the dream game for only a short time. when they come out with the expansion then taht will be teh dream game. remember they will always come out with better game better games and tech. advances. obce tech. is very good! they could have 100 people at once. tch. will have to be very GOOD
Mountainforest Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I just hope it will be the best star wars game ever. At least the screenshots and trailers are nice.
Eagle Warrior Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 i know but there will always come out with a better game. it will be teh best sw game till tehy come out with a better one or expansion
Mountainforest Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Well, maybe a giant comet will make a collision with earth just after the game comes in stores, wiping out all human civilsation, wich makes bf the last star wars game ever! Of course a better star wars game could be made, but this probably is the best one made so far, so lets not talk about futur games, until this one is in stores.
VanLingo Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Faith is good, fellas, but I think we'd better reserve our judgement until the game is released. The last thing we want on September 19th is people whining on these forums about how disappointed they are -- like what happened to Galaxies.
yaebginn Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 from what I hear about episode 3 the game, that'll be pretty cool. I hear its the ultimate Jedi experience.
yaebginn Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 what if you open the box to find a pack of hungry rats and they eat your face off, then you'll be whining.

joesdomain Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 The only way it is the Ultimate Star Wars game for me is if every Star Wars vehicle, starship, and troopers are included in the game. That would include B-wings, A-wings, Imperial Lander, Imperial Lamdba Class Shuttle, Rebel Medium Transport, Tie Advanced, Tie Interceptor, Tie Bomber, Tie Fighter, X-wing, Y-wing, Snowspeeder, etc.

yaebginn Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 they wont be added if the producers open a box and get their face eaten of by rats. HA!
Eagle Warrior Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 o ya what if the rats are TAMED and the producers even if they die will still have his notes and there at least THOUSAND OF PRODUCERS THAT WOULD TAKE THE JOB. now what! a a-bomb dropped on lucas arts?
